Many people visit Las Palmas and find that they just cannot see all of this wonderful city on one day - after all, it is the 7th largest city in Spain! Our advice is to focus on one particular area during each visit and Vegueta is the place to start. This is "old and original" Las Palmas at its best.... More

Nice...narrow roads with Canarian architecture...a must see in Las palmas...from there you can easily reach Cathedral and Calle Triana...not many people around on evening hours..

Nice old part of the city with lovely places to eat and drink. Enjoy visiting the cathedral or Colombus museum. Nice atmosphere from Thursday night on.

Thursday night is best to visit since they have happy hour. Two euro for a glass of wine or beer and a piece of tapa. Meet up with friends here and amazing vibe here.

I was recommend to go here on a thursday night by the reception staff of our hotel. It is tapas night, and boy does it get busy. All the the bars down the small back streeets serve tapas, they are as cheap as a euro each. We had a few in a couple of bars. It was a great atmosphere... More

It's a lovely old building unfortunately we travelled on a Monday when everywhere seemed to be closed. Nice square opposite.

its lovely old town, with narrow streets, unique architecture with big wooden doors and alcoves that hangs over the streets. But not really that impressive. A few hours and it is done for. But then, I did not go to LP for the old town.

Don’t’ know do I give free or four stars to Las Palmas old town. Yes, its lovely old town, with narrow streets, unique architecture with big wooden doors and alcoves that hangs over the streets. But all the experience of several old town all over the Europe, somehow I couldn’t feel the history and that old town atmosphere. Well, it... More

Vegueta is "the old" Las Palmas. The architecture of the old buildings is interesting. The most impressive buildings are The Cathedral Santa Ana and Casa de Colon (the house of Christopher Columbus, when he resided in this house. The tower of the cathedral is worth the cost of 1.50€ to get a panoramic view of the city. A walk in... More

Had a walk around this part of the city, great place with bags of history. There is much to see in this part of the city, small streets and tall building. A historical beautiful city for a walk around
