We must have waited 50 mins for a bus on a busy petrol- fumed corner. We were staying in Triana -the old pedestrianized quarter and soon realized that the modern parts of Las Palmas are really not worth seeing -ugly high rise flats etc. We got off for coffee at Playa Canteras and were not impressed, so waited on another... Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately our buses can’t access the older quarters of the city but our ticket also includes a walking tour through the historic quarter, Vegueta, from Monday to Saturday at 13:15 from Stop number 5 (Vagueta/Cathedral). It is about an hour long and is available in both English and Spanish. More

This open top bus tour is a good option if time is limited and you don't have the knowledge of local bus routes. Having now done the trip if I was to return I would wear stout footwear and take the extra time to walk to the places I wanted to visit. I found myself comparing it with other open... More

The most attractive area in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is definitely in Vegueta, the old colonial city centre around the cathedral and casa de Colón, where the City Sightseeing Bus has no access. So you'll have little to see of the old city when taking this tour. Also the Cantera Beach can be seen only briefly at bus stop... More

Thank you for your comments. One of the advantages of the City Sightseeing tour is that you can easily get from one part of the city to the other aboard our buses. Even though they don’t have access to Vagueta you can enjoy a walking tour through this historic quarter, included in your City Sightseeing ticket. It operates from Monday... More

Not the best open top bus tour but as the distances are quite large in town it is probably better than a taxi and you will see parts you might miss. A good introduction to get your bearings so do it first. If you are on a ship there is a stop outside the port.

We took the bus as a way of getting an overview of the city. The guide material on the head phones was very brief but efficient. I thought the bus drove a bit fast but then again it was freezing so we were happy we were done fast? Usually I don't like these kinds of buses but as we were... More

This sightseeing "hop-on, hop-off" experience is a great way to familiarize yourself with the city. Goes to the major attractions for a reasonable price, though I'm sure regular city transport is much more affordable if you're willing to do your homework on the bus routes. The commentary is useful though, and the one or two day pass is very convenient.

We went ashore from a cruise ship and saw the open top bus tours at a point opposite El Muelle shopping centre. It was very busy but we decided to buy a couple of tickets and wait for a bus.
