The holiday reps will try and sell you an excursion. Tapas and shopping in las palmas.€24 Don't do it. The shopping is good but when it says tapas you get taken to a little cafe in a back street and get given 1 little tiny piece of bread with a slice of cheese n a blob of jelly or a... More

If you like old towns (Ibiza Town, Sitges etc), you will love old Las Palmas, it is simply stunning... Catch the express bus or book a tour!

We took ourselves off to Las Palmas on the local bus. It was only 5 euros. Tourist information really helpful. We had a tour of their beautiful theatre and we visited the cathedral and museum of Gran Canaria.

These trips are a great way to explore the city, with both the Old City and the New City. We found it the best way to see most of the sites! I think the tour was great value for money, and reasonable in price. We spent most of the day on the bus, hoping on and off. Armed with a... More

We must have waited 50 mins for a bus on a busy petrol- fumed corner. We were staying in Triana -the old pedestrianized quarter and soon realized that the modern parts of Las Palmas are really not worth seeing -ugly high rise flats etc. We got off for coffee at Playa Canteras and were not impressed, so waited on another... Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately our buses can’t access the older quarters of the city but our ticket also includes a walking tour through the historic quarter, Vegueta, from Monday to Saturday at 13:15 from Stop number 5 (Vagueta/Cathedral). It is about an hour long and is available in both English and Spanish. More

This open top bus tour is a good option if time is limited and you don't have the knowledge of local bus routes. Having now done the trip if I was to return I would wear stout footwear and take the extra time to walk to the places I wanted to visit. I found myself comparing it with other open... More

The most attractive area in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is definitely in Vegueta, the old colonial city centre around the cathedral and casa de Colón, where the City Sightseeing Bus has no access. So you'll have little to see of the old city when taking this tour. Also the Cantera Beach can be seen only briefly at bus stop... More

Thank you for your comments. One of the advantages of the City Sightseeing tour is that you can easily get from one part of the city to the other aboard our buses. Even though they don’t have access to Vagueta you can enjoy a walking tour through this historic quarter, included in your City Sightseeing ticket. It operates from Monday... More

Not the best open top bus tour but as the distances are quite large in town it is probably better than a taxi and you will see parts you might miss. A good introduction to get your bearings so do it first. If you are on a ship there is a stop outside the port.
