Visited Betancuria again in April. If you are in Fuerteventura, never miss the opportunity to visit Betancuria. It is beautiful. Also has a Michelin star restaurant!
The drive up the mountains heart-stoppingly amazing too.

It's worth the hassle of set opening times and paying a Euro to the custodian to gain access (fee includes the Sacred Art Museum at the other end of Betancuria, if it's open). If you get a chance when on holiday, hire a car and take a trip through the mountain roads via La Oliva to Betancuria. The drive is amazing, the views are stunning and the village of Betancuria is something to behold. What a lovely place.
