I guess you could say that our experience with the Jeep 4 x 4 Safari didn't start off too well when we received a call, in our hotel room, at 9.45pm on the night before asking us if we could move our trip to the Saturday. I explained that this wasn't an option as we were flying home on the... More

Today is our last day in Fueterventura and we decided to do the jeep safari. We were scheduled to be picked up at 9:25, at 9:45 we still hadn't been picked up, after speaking to our rep apparently the jeeps were stuck in traffic. They arrived at 9:50! Once in the jeep we had to drive to 3 hotels as... More

We stayed at Lanzarote and made a day trip to Fuerteventura, so it was a great chance to see the most in one day. By and large, this tour was fine. In its favor I should say it was not overcrowded, we were just 2 jeeps, like 10-12 people. So we didn't spend the majority of time waiting for each... More

Having been on a similar safari in Gran Canaria many years ago, I was expecting much more from this day out. We were collected from our hotel at 9.25 for the 10 min journey to the meeting point in a car park, from which we went to a turtle sanctuary that was closed and hung around for a bit. Then... More

The best way to see the interior of Fuerteventura. Uncomfortable, a bit bouncy and very dusty but worth it! The highlight for me was the visit to Cofete and the mansion of the mysterious Gustav Winter. Herr Winter once owned the entire Jandia Peninsula during and after the Second World War. The land was rumoured to have been given to... More

We booked this trip through First Choice and what can I say - if you want to see the real Lanzarote, this really is the best way to go! As you can imagine using the wonderful Land Rover, you can get to places the Tour Buses just cannot! Don't get me wrong on previous trips to the island we have... More

I've always wanted to visit Cofete, the village and beach in the south of Fuerteventura accessible only by a narrow dirt road which crosses the Jandia mountain ridge. It is possible to drive the road in a hire car but it would be hard going and your insurance would be invalid. I took the easy option instead, and signed up... More
