Went on a 1/2 day trip to Mahon including a boat trip around the harbour and a visit to the gin distillery. Very impressive harbour with lots of beautiful and historical buildings and fortresses to look at. Boat also had a glass hull and gave great views of the sea bed and fish. Gin tasting was enjoyable however this is... More

We took a water taxi from Es Castell to the port of Mahon. Wonderful service12€ return trip. We left at 11:00 and were picked up at 17:00. We walked up from port to town centre and then had a drink in Fish Market, caught a bus down to port and had lunch. We walked along port to get on water... More

We visited the gin producer where you can look through the glass to see the gin being made, plus they have all the drinks out for you to sample as many as you wish. We purchased some gin and some of the coffee liqueur, both lovely. Then we went on a glass bottom boat which takes about one hour to... More

We took a water taxi to Mahon which only took about 15 minutes from Es Castell. It was worth it. When you draw close to Mahon it's so pretty. There's plenty of shops to look around all in very "olde worlde" surroundings. Plenty of places to eat too. Well worth a visit.
