Lovely area, lots of nice shops, friendly people. Lots of steep steps up to town, I am walking with a stick, took a while but we'll worth the effort , there is a road that zigzags up the hill probably would have been easier. Lovely sights to see.

The port itself is awesome, the natural harbour takes 45 minutes to navigate, but it is a place en route to it from the market square that you must go to on a saturday! Life, energy, music wine and dancing, this experience fizzes and crackles with fun! The live band are unbelievable, just follow your ears and you will find... More

We stayed in Es Castell and took the water taxi to Mahon twice,€12 round trip per person and well worth it. There are restaurants and bars on the key side but if you walk up the steps to enter the town there are lots more lovely bars, restaurants and shops, some with spectacular views of the harbour. Well worth a... More

We were staying in the San Luis area. We took the local bus into Mahon. Only 1.70 euro single and 20 minutes. Its 150 steps down to the harbour so very tricky if you have trouble walking. I recommend either of the glass bottom boat rides around the harbour. Good value at 12 euros. The gin distillery is just up... More

Loads of beautiful boats to drool over . Really clean and tidy with lots of shops and restaurants . This is where you board the yellow catamaran which is well worth a trip . Watch when you cross the road ...loads of traffic and most drivers won't stop !

We expected a port with bars and restaurants to take in the views. It was very industrial and didn't have what we expected.

Lovely market. Good mix of shops and bars. The bus journey was interesting everyone jammed on to the bus. Mahon was busy but relaxed. The people were all friendly and welcoming. The port was interesting and enlightening. Many local crafts were available.
