After a sightseeing of Barcelona we took the decision to visit the island of Palma de Mallorca, the capital Palma and a surprise, Palmanova (a new city not far of Palma). With this occasion we saw what is means a very clean city, very quiet, nobody is in hurry, the sea very calm, every corner show the care of city... More

The bus was grand, but the route wasn't that long (less than an hour) and not that much was pointed out on it, or I thought enough history given. The guy at the bus stop who was selling tickets was quite the character - he refused to sell me a ticket in case there wasn't room on the bus. He... More

Unless you like walking through narrow alleys admiring the old town there is very little to see apart from the Cathedral

We took the open top Palma sight-seeing bus. 17€ for a 24 hour hop-on hop-off ticket. We did the whole circuit hopping off at various places en route. We got off at Bellver Castle from which you can see spectacular views of the island. Also go of at Porto Pi which is a big shopping centre (but closed on Sundays).... More

Enjoyed visiting the cathedral seeing the architecture and hearing its history. Restaurants were plentiful and the food was good. Not very keen on the narrow streets where there appears to be no restriction on motor vehicles and very little room to dodge them!

The hop-on hop-off bus tour was an interesting and informative way to discover what Palma had to offer but unfortunately the audio soundtrack was quite difficult to understand in parts which did get frustrating. Some of the views of the city and surrounding countryside from near Bellver Castle were wonderful.

That was the worst bus ride we took. It was raining and the water was entering the bus, the explanation was very bad and barely heard in the earphones. I did not like it at all!!

This is the best way to see the city with 16 stops on route. For 17 euros it's ok value and with the Bellver castle on the route it would save your legs. Most of the other main sites are close to the centre and can be reached by foot.
