We always take our visitors on this trip, it doesn't matter what time of the year, although high summer it can get crowded so go early. beware too there are no disabled facilities, we had to hoist Granny by pushing and pulling but she didn't mind. The views are lovely lemon trees, tiny cottages huge manor houses and rows and... More

This nostalgic train ride from Palma to Soller was really worth the money! It is a pleasant way to enjoy Majorca's countryside. During May (when we went) the weather was excellent and the orange and lemon trees were full of fruit. The landscape was blooming with poppies and olive trees were abundant. We did not take the tram to the... More

The atmosphere on the train was friendly and fun and the journey over the fertile plains and through the mountains was spectacular. On the way home the train broke down - no one minded and I believe it is a common occurance. All in all a trip to remember More

It wasn't what I expected as the train goes from the side of the metro. It is a wooden train with several carragies that take you initally through the streets of Palma (so feels a bit like a tram) then heads out to the courtyside towards the mountains. The senery is beuatiful even though it was a stormy day (very... More

It's old but beautifully cared for, crowded but that ensures it will stay open, the journey is superb and spare a thought for the engineers who designed it and cut the tunnels through the mountain. Railway enthusiast or not, it is a good day. The train and tram out, bus back option makes sense as the scenery is better in... More

Beautiful old wooden train through mountains, with stunning views, only wish we could have got out and walked through fields of orange and lemon trees. More
