The old train takes you to a beautiful city Soller. Buy one way ticket. You can walkaround in the city and after take a tram to port de Soller. Wonderful place. Loved it. To return take 211 bus to Palma, 3,30€.

We enjoyed a family trip to soller when in Palma last week..would def recommend leaving early in morning to enjoy your time at soller and then down at port..we were rushing to make last train back at 6.30 so that was only negative..it's pricey enough as kids over 6 pay full price of 28euros return each..so can be expensive for...

My wife and I took the tram (it's not a train), from Soller down to Port de Soller. The tram was very cute and it is nice that they are keeping a piece of history going. The views on the way are really lovely but the €5 one way tickets are completely over the top. It's a 25 minute walk...

The train journey from Palma to Soller is a true delight. The train itself is from a bygone era with wonderful polished wood finishes throughout, but the journey is spectacular. The journey only takes an hour but passes through wonderful and spectacular mountain scenery as it traverses the mountains to Soller. The trip isn't cheap and it is far cheaper...

Well known but nontheless still worth a visit, the train is not cheap but it is stunning - no change out of £50 for train and tram makes it a tad pricy. the train is cute and the views are stunning, but they should consider stopping a couple of times to let you admire and take a steady picture, it...

Firstly, we didn't take the train as part of an excursion, but as a way of getting to and from Soller where we were staying for 3 nights. It was a lovely way to arrive in the town. I suspect it can be very busy when the tour parties arrive - but we went on an early train, which although...

Soller is cute little village and subsequent harbor town, but you can save yourself a lot of time and money by taking the bus -- leaves almost every hour directly across the street from the Tren de Soller station. The train has some nice scenery but the old cars are made for much smaller people. In the close quarters, you...

Was very disappointed with the trip, was expecting a lot more, found it very expensive for a family of four, only got single tickets 12.50 euros each, got local bus back much cheaper. Train was very nice but views and scenery very disappointing, Soller itself extremely busy so difficult to get in anywhere.
The idea of rattling through some streets leaving Palma brought a smile as I did not expect it. Train ride was enjoyable and some of the views were great with the train stopping and allowing passengers to get off to take some photos . Soller itself is a beautiful town with a picturesque town square. The return journey (14.00 hrs)...

We enjoyed the ride and we had a car set aside for our tour bus so for those who complained about the crowds, this was the way to do it. I do have to admit that we did see about the same views as from our bus, so not as jaw dropping as I expected.
