This is an area full of walking options, ranging from leisurely strolls around the lake to serious mountain walking. The walk up Sa Rateta (1124m) is stunning but it is a serious undertaking. On the clear day that we had, our views from the top were breathtaking and the view of the lake down below was beautiful.

A great way to escape the beaches and cities and embrace some nature. Walking around the lake takes around 1 hours but its nice to stay a little longer and have a picnic.

I have to say at once that we did not walk all the way to the lake. In fact, we started out from Soller via Biniaraix and walked up the old path (Cami Vell). We took a slight detour to see the Cova de see Alfabies - a huge cliff with water dripping down and into a very ancient clay... More

We were impressed with the number of trails around. You had the easy flat trails or more enduring mountain climb. The only thing was the drive to cuber lake was hair raising but once you got here it was worth it.

A wonderful place to walk - magnificent mountains, beautiful reservoir, great wildlife. Look out for the turtles coming up for air, the birds of prey and ravens soaring overhead and enjoy the stillness. An easy walk - very relaxing.

We didn't have time to go all terrain and do some of the walks in the area (just cycling through) but hear they are wonderful - the lake itself is an oasis, lovely views for photos or a lunch break - if not at nearby Gorg Blau reservoir.

The breathtaking view of lake cuber caught our eye the very first moment we drove pass it. The water is crystal clear and the surrounding area is peacefully green. We decided to hike around the area the very next day and had one of our best moment in Majorca.

It's well worth the drive up the mountain to take in the view over lake Cuber and lake Gorg, which are actually reservoirs so no swimming allowed. The atmosphere is tranquil and we walked down to the turquiose water's edge. Lovely trip out.

The views are great, the walking is wonderful but it's the logistics that are a bit of a faff. You can just walk around the reservoir and take in the atmosphere and, usually, watch the soaring eagles and occasional vultures. There's a regular bus from Soller or take the car and use one of the places off the roadside near... More

We are keen bird watchers and were looking forward to seeing some raptors and we were not disappointed. We saw black vulture, red kite, booted eagle and a great view of a peregrine falcon perched on a branch. It was a beautiful day and we went early morning so there weren't too many people there. It is a really lovely... More
