A Baleria ferry trip from Denia to Formentera a super day out. A two and half hour crossing on the fast ferry, very comfortable, with a bar on board makes the crossing enjoyable. On arrivel on Formentera at 12am there is a local bus service at the harbour that runs continuously around the island for a small fare. A visit... More

Far too crowded and touristy for me. If you like noise, bars, touristy restaurants, kitsch shops, then this is the place for you (in summer that is). The beach is very nice, but just too crowded in summer. Go there from late September, however, and it is lovely. Until April or early May. Because of its popularity, this is where... More

No what one imagines at all given the reputation of Es Pujoles as a party town. The beach is not that crowded and the water is azure blue and crystal clear and calm. With the adjacent bars and cafes a nice place to spend a day.

We did canoeing here which was good fun (though the advertised excursion was apparently for 4 or more). We had a drink at People's Beach which was lovely with it's bean bags and facilities. Later in the week we explored further out of town and found some lovely beaches away from the town.

lovely picturesque town with a beautiful beach. Great waterside restaurants next to the board walk which runs alongside the restaurants and beach all the way along this stretch on beach.

considering the location in front of the main promenade where all nightlife takes place etc.... the turq water is very inviting and the beach pretty clean especially in front of the little island bit that we swam out to.

Crowdy, but if you go to playa de Rocueta, you find more space, and the area with cleat, blue wather, combined with rockes is beautiful. Naturist beach

If you want soft sand calm, sea (usually) and lots of cafe's /restaurants in the daytime, lots of shops as well, some now quite trendy, then this is the place. It can be quite lively in the evenings as there are quite a few nightspots for the younger generation to enjoy.

It is about 30 feet to the very warm sea at its narrowist and a small island lies some 300yds from the shore, the length widens considerably within 600yds to the left but it is almost entirely covered with sunbeds (£17 for 2 beds a umbrella) add to this that about 7 coach loads of folks are dumped onto this...
