Very attractive location with bars and restaurants round the outside. The monument in the middle is quite breath-taking depicting the defeat of the French by Wellington. There are little fountains coming up through the pavements.

When in Basque Country or anywhere in the world, it's nice to check the historical, cultural, and touristic places. The Plaza de la Virgen Blanca was a 5 minute walk from my hotel so I saw it from the outside. I am not sure if you can see it from the inside as well but it was closed when I... More

Popular square with a monument remembering the battle of Vitoria, in 1813, where the french army was defeated by Wellington. Nice cafés, restaurants and shoping around

We visited at weekend and it was really busy. Dozens of bars to choose from and very high quality food. Our favorite city during a tour of Northern Spain

4th of August is the best day of all to visit this beautiful square. Every year on this day Celedón comes down to the city and opens the fiestas of Vitoria. The atmosphere is great even if you come with the whole family.

Nice square with many bars and a lot of folks. From here you can visit all the places of interest in Vitoria. There is a beautifull statue in the middle.

Like so many places this great plaza in the centre of the old town is never at it's best in the middle of a drizzly winter afternoon in Mid Feb, but if you look beyond that it's not hard to envisage a great buzzing atmosphere full of life on a warm Summers day or evening. We loved the place and... More
