The exhibition of religious art in this museum was breathtaking. It's odd to be in a humongous unfinished cathedral (with a silver model of how it should have been but will never be). The exhibition itself is outstanding.

This museum is located inside the New Cathedral and that is what impressed me the most. The collection is interesting, but definitely I prefer the building!

The Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art is located at Calle Cadena y Eleta, s/n. The museum was founded in 199 to protect, preserve, and study Alava Province’s religious heritage. The collection comes from the Bishopric of Vitoria, the Provincial Council of Alava, and the Diocesan churches. This museum hosts a big collection of Religious Art of Alava. It has a broad collection of Virgins made in stone (from prerromanic and romanic art) and in wood (from romanic to barroque), and also paintings, tableaus, reliquaries, etc. But what I personally like more is the building itself where you can see it.
