It's a beautiful beach, perfect for a walk with family friends or a partner. Take time to appreciate the view to the island and enjoy this wonderfully bay.

Good sandy beach manned by lifeguards. Well protected bay with calm water and lit at night when summer activities are on.

Ok, so it felt like half of France was in town, but really crowded when we were there. Maybe next time we will go there in a quieter time of year. Scenic views but I have seen better beaches.

Like Copacabana or Bondi Beach, this is a large beach stretching a mile or so with nice sand and plenty of places to rest. Great people watching with some restaurants nearby. The view out into the bay and of the hills is spectacular!

First standing room only beach i ever saw, got there at high tide and there was a thin strip of wet sand, with the ocasional wave breaking right upo to the stairs leading down to the "beach". Set your stuff down on that and they zill get flooded. Might be nice at low tide when there might be some space,... More

We have to go away during peak holiday times so expect busy beaches. La Concha was particularly crowded because of (a) lots of people and (b) the beach disappearing as the tide came in. That being said, everyone was very good-humoured and it was relatively peaceful. Beautiful golden sand - lovely and clean, too, raked by a tractor each morning.... More

it's crowded, but everyone knows to be respectful of each others space. You will need to bring a towel, but chairs and shade are for rent. The water is refreshing!

The atmosphere in San Sebastian is very friendly and fun. The beach is beautiful with a wonderful view looking into the ocean and mountains. I personally thought the water and beach were beautiful coming from areas with murky waters. The breach was crowded but it made the experience a bit more fun. Though heads up to some travelers, it is... More

We went on a weekday day trip from Biarritz in August 2014. At high tide the beach packed people in like sardines; the crowding got better though as the tide went out and more sand became available. We preferred other beaches where there was more space and some waves (such as Biarritz), but it's not a bad way to spend... More

Unlike so many beaches, even though this one was quite full, La Concha was calm and friendly. There were no boom-boxes and the vibe was like something out of the past, welcoming to families and intergenerational.
