The beaches were being re-built after 30 storms hit the region over Winter. The process was amazing to watch, as the engineers brought the sand back in from the sea, onto the beach and smoothed it out to make it a beautiful beach again. Surfers were having a fabulous time in the waves the pipes were making!

A spectacular beach, no matter what time of year. The water was cold when we went but that didn't deter us from admiring the bay. People were actively playing in the sand, swimming and exercising during this time.

Even in the middle of winter this beach is beautiful and well worth a visit. For us Australians travelling it was great to see such a pretty beach location. The town is San Sebastion has to be one of the best places I have seen in 4 months of driving Europe. Loved it

A great walk. Start at the San Telmo museum, walk all along the coast, past the sculpture and aquarium, along the beach and around the other end. You can catch a tram up the hill at the end if it's running. A lovely walk.

La Concha beach is a beautiful sweeping arc of gently shelving sand framed with a wide, clean and meticulously maintained promenade with bespoke designed, brillinat white railings. Even in Wintry conditions locals and tourists alike were strolling, walking dogs or jogging along it's 2 mile span. The cold weather appeared not to put off hardy swimmers and surfers were taking advantage... More

We (wife and 2 kids) spent whole day walking by the beach, doing the most different activities and stoping for a drink or tapas, enjoying every single meter.

Start at the afar beach, walk through town and end up here for a great day. Visit the Cafe de la Concha whilst you are there for superb coffee. Bus to campsite stops outside on way back.
