La Concha Beach

What an amazing place. One of the afternoons there was an artist drawing an amazing mural in the sand.

A superb sandy beach but no sun beds for hire. On the weekends it's mobbed with the local residents. Walking the promenade is a must

Obviously the weather has to be good. We had ten days in DSS and fortunately the days we chose to go to La Concha were perfect. On one of the days there were big rollers coming in off the Bay of Biscay which were great for romping in with the kids. On other days it was literally 'swell'! A tip... More

The beach is the focal point for the town. Beds and umbrellas are operated by the City . There is a waiting list and locals sleep out to be in the queue for the allocation of the summer long licence . The same families have the same beds for generations and as a result children grow up, marry and become... More

Great beach, shallow, two - three kilometres long! There could be a bit more Beach services such as changing cabinets, toilets, showers etc. Now one has to walk long ways to get to the toilet etc. Sandy, not too much small rocks in the sand. Clear signal flags about the swimming conditions. With better services, would be 5-stars!

Lovely holiday but was surprised as the cost of drinks i.e. two G&T's 22 euros was about the norm in the old town and various restuarants we visited. Had a day out in Pamplona ate at a small bar, we had two spanish omelettes and 4 drinks 13 euros, quite a difference

Fantastic for kids and swimming (no waves) - could be crowded in high season but still very good beach - clean and warm water

By far one of the best beaches I've ever been to. Beats the Caribbean hands-down as there is nobody trying to bother you or sell you stuff. Lots of people walking and enjoying the heat. The view is incredible and the water was great! Yes, and do watch the tide between 4-8 p.m. (16:00 -20:00) as the beach shrinks in... More

Crowded in high summer but everyone seems to find a little spot. Very beautiful bay and when you have finished there explore the old town backstreets for pinchos.

Probably the nicest beach. however keep eye on tide, beach looses half of its surface in the evening. boardwalk is also great, many artists and good restaurants by hoels
