When in San Sebastián, do visit Monte Igueldo. If you're in for a climb: walk up. Otherwise take the ferocaril. The 'funpark' is really no fun at all, it's old and stale, so if you're there with small kids, di not rejoice. With older kids (or no kids), you wouldn't be going there For the park anyways. The food with... More

Rather dissapointed because the furnicular was under repair, we decide to go to the mount by taxi. Pay 2.2 euro per person when we enter the park. Actually it is only a terrace which you can enjoy the scenery of la concha, monte urgull and ist clara. And of course it is the best view of san sebastian in my... More

A short and inexpensive funicular ride takes you up to this high point in the city where you can enjoy beautiful views! There's a small theme park and a hotel at the top. We had our almost-2-year-old son with us and he rode some of the attractions and he enjoyed them. The price for the funicular is about 3€ for... More

I was staying here, but still felt it deserved time set aside to explore old Monte. Aside from the insane views which I find unparallelled, there is a strange 100 year old amusement park, where you can win a keyring! Or take a log ride with perilous aspects. It was nice to walk all the way round and look at... More

As you slowly but efficiently climb up the mountainside in a rickety funicular (one of the oldest), you can't help but wonder how the ghostly existence of carnival rides meshes coherently with a spectacular view of Concha Bay. The view is breathtaking as the expanse of the bay, the layout of the adjoining land, and the varying shades of blue... More

You can get here by car or cable train. If you go by car there is a fee to enter around €2.5 per person. The attractions are very dated but charming and the views from San Sebastián simply beautiful

For the money shot, with the beach in the sun, go at 4pm (in winter). In the morning most of the beach is in the shade, and you will have a partial back light. You'll have to pay 2.20 euros per person to reach it, EVEN IF YOU WALK. Funicular is 3.15 return. The amusement park looks a bit shabby... More

On the top of the hill there's an old attraction park where families may enjoy a nice afternoon. And there's an incredible view of the bay and the city! Also the way up, if you come walking, is amazing because there is a 100-year-old funicular that looks another little toy for everyone!
