We took the funicular up to the top of Monte Igueldo. The views are wonderful and worth the price of the up and down ticket. We did do some of the rides but I would recommend just saving your money there. They were silly but not silly enough to make it worth even the 2 euros/person per ride

The Funicular is fun to ride both ways and is only E3,15,RT. The views are not really from the Funicular as there are many trees along the way but once you reach the top the views are spectacular. Recommend you pay the E2.5, to climb to the top of the tower to get the 360 degree views and look down... More

Drove our rental car almost to the summit but pulled off to the side of the road to enjoy the views. The tourist funicular does go all the way to the summit.

This was a fun and short diversion (1 hr). We walked from La Concha Beach toward Ondarreta and up the hill a few blocks to an old funicular that takes you up the hill. The views are spectacular and you can see the natural wonder, Comb of the Wind, quite well. The dated amusement park at the top is closed... More

We went up in the funicular which, on a hot day, was well worth it. The views are fantastic and there is a café with a terrace where you can enjoy a very reasonably priced drink. I would recommend walking from here around the bay and walking up Mount Urgull to get the whole experience of San Sebastian. You can... More

We chose not to take a funicular, but to hike to the top of the hill and it was a good decision because the views are spectacular all the way! San Sebastian is as beautiful seen from the above, with three beautiful beaches and picturesque hills. It took us around one hour of slow walk, but it wasn't a sunny... More

The view on the Concha, monte Urgull, SantaClara and San Sebastian is perfect, you have to see it. You can take the funicular to go up the hill but if you want to climb it walking you have to pay as well because of the amusement park on the top( old-fashioned and uninteresting...)

Want to have a little adventure and see the best of San Sebastian along the way? Start by taking the 16 bus from the city centre. It takes you along some of the beautiful beaches which make the place so attractive to visitors. Get off at the funicular station and make the short trip to the top of the mountain.... More

We have done these funicular railway trips in many European cities, can't remember if the others were this cheap, but at 3.15eu it was good value to get a great view of the bay. Only takes 5 minutes to go up, you only need to spend 10 minutes up there as its really just about the view. Fun for little... More
