Having caught the little tram up the mountain (takes 3 minutes) we were amazed by the incredible view of the city and beaches. On a clear day it must be quite breathtaking. The theme park was shut as low season so there wasn't a lot to do but take some photos of the incredible view. But it's a must do... More

This place is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. We walked along the beach to the Funicular and took a ride up the mountain in this cable car. It's cheap, old time - 102 years old and very steep. It looks to have only one cable pulling you up - so a bit scary. At the top is a lovely... More

I have walked the terrain of Monte Igueldo on several occasions during my lifetime. I especially enjoy looking at the vegetation, particularly the apple orchards where I used to pick apples. People should explore this offshore location while visiting San Sebastian.

The views from this location are superb and expansive! Take your time and soak it in...then let the kids enjoy some of the attractions. Most are for very young kiddies, but all seem to be fun in some way. Make sure that you explore, as you can be surprised what you can find just by walking around. You can drive... More

For adults the best feature is the view of San Sebastian -- awe inspiring! The kids and parents at the amusement park looked like they were having fun but we did not partake of the rides and attractions.

If you are in Donostia/San Sebastian for a few days, And the weather is nice, I recommend taking the funicular to the top of Monte Igueldo. We walked to the funicular station at the bottom of the hill, paid a reasonable price for a ticket, rode the funicular to the top, and had a liesurely stroll at the top, enjoying... More

The quaint funicular tram up the hill to this spot. the tram starts at the south end of bay behind the tennis center and is worth the price. Especially if the option was to walk up. A walk about the amusement park will soon conclude it isn't worth a visit - its not that great. But the views are something... More

It is very well worth taking the 3-minutes ride on the 100-years old funicular from Ondarreta Beach to the top of Monte Igueldo to enjoy gorgeous views of San Sebastian bay. My wife and I did it on October 30th, 2014 and the weather was unseasonably warm, allowing for clear panorama. The local set up on the top is rather... More

In my opinion these are the best views in San Sebastian. If you are cheap like me and dont want to have to pay to reach the top, you can walk around the road all the way up there. the road is relatively quiet and it is pretty safe. look out for the stairs which allow for a few shortcuts... More

We took the funicular to,the top of monte igueldo. Fantastic little trip! Unfortunately when you reach the top it's like a disused fairground attraction. The views are tremendous, the hotel there a bit dated. The best bit is the funicular!
