My wife likes the sun and I'm less happy about being in for too long. So the ideal solution on this beach is to hire a tent with a canopy for 20 Euros a day. This would be ideal for children and provides somewhere to change and keep your lunch/drinks in the shade.

Great place, park, showers, easy n clean. Lovely access. Worth a visit. More intimate than La Concha.

the area is one of the nicest and best views of a town a beach I've been to. Many things you can do on the beach and depending on the day it can be really crazy or very quiet. Would recommend this spot over the other beaches, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

We stayed in an apartment overlooking Ondarreta beach so it only took us five minutes to be on the beach. Lovely spot. Quieter part of town and the beach not as crowded as La Concha. Good restaurants, attractions and facilities close by.

Maybe the perfect beach, and we live on a beach in Southern California! They have a berm created so that there's a shallow beach area for kids, then the main beach. So family friendly. And since it's a bay the waves are not big. The water is shallow quite a way offshore. It's a large area, with lots of restaurants... More

There are two beaches in the Bay of La Concha, the main one is La Concha but if you walk further away from the Old Town and around a small rocky point on the bay you have arrived at Ondarreta Beach. We discovered it on our walk from the Old Town over to the 'Combs of Wind', and it was... More

A much quieter beach than the popular La Concha beach and lovely soft sand. Views out of the bay are also lovely from here. Take a picnic and enjoy a lazy afternoon in the sun.

Although the season has not started yet, the beach was quite clean and we could change in the free toilets. The ocean was/felt warmer then in Zumaia, even in the rain. Covered promenade for bad weather! wanderful for walking or jogging.

Beyond the main beach of La Concha, is this far quieter & just as beautiful beach. Great view of the off shore island & views back to the city.
