I offer one of the best Pintxo tours as well as my City Sightseeing Tour. To do Pintxos right, you really need someone on the inside, someone that knows where to go on the particular day you are here and can help you get the most out of what is available. I help you explore flavors, but nothing over the top, I am very traditional in my selection of local Pintxos and pair them with local wines. I do show you the most modern bars as well. My tours are designed to give my guests a great head start on this area, from the History and Traditions, to the PROPER way to eat PINTXOS (Tapas). I show you this city with an open point of view and make you feel like a visiting family member or friend, so that after the tour is over you feel more comfortable getting around the city and looking deeper into the areas that you are most interested in. I normally keep my groups small, so it almost feels like a private tour (usually under 8 people). If you would like a private tour please contact us for prices. My tour is best done on the first morning that you are here. « less

We had an informative and interesting 2 hours of Basque history - there is so much to cover but Keith did a great job in selecting a couple of main events to provide a good perspective of the history. Keith provided general information during the whole tour. We tried new and interesting combinations of pintxos that we would not normally... More

Very high marks to Keith for his two-hour pintxos tour around San Sebastián's old town. I didn't know much about pintxos before the tour. I thought it was tapas by a different name. But there's so much more to it, and it's fascinating, and very, very tasty. Keith obviously knows his stuff. And being an outside (he's an American), he's... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and learned heaps from Keith our terrific guide. Keith's knowledge and choices, pairing pintxos with local drinks was such a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to try pintxos and not knowing quite where to start. Since the tour we have gone off and enjoyed many pintxos bars with our... More

I am a long time Tripadvisor user who is only starting to write reviews. I decided to do so because when it comes to really cool individuals, I feel I owe it to them to give them a deserving five star review. Bottom line is Keith is the man! We did the combo tour with a teen. At the beginning... More

This tour is simply a must-do on your first full day in San Sebastian. I couldn't decide whether to do the history tour or the pintxo (tapas) tour, so I did the combo. The Baque region is so rich in history and I learned a lot on this tour. Keith, the guide, has done (and continues to do) his research... More

Keith was a great tour guide. He combined an interesting history lesson of the Basque country and a great introduction to the best of the local pintxos (tapas). He even paired the best drink with the best pintxo that each bar had to offer. He was also very good at helping my daughter (who suffers from celiac's) get a bit... More

Three of us participated in this wonderful tour the 2nd day of our trip. We were in a group of 9 total, which facilitated us becoming fast friends (and met up with later in the week). Keith is amazing! He has a great balance of presenting enough information so you understand the context, but he keeps things moving so you... More

We had a wonderful time, and it was great way to start our visit to Donostia! We actually had a pretty good feel for the town afterwards. There were 9 in our tour group, and we all got to know each other very well over our tour. Everyone was fun. The pintxos that Keith selected for us were really new... More

We had combo tour with Keith and small group of 5 people. It was aprox. 2 hours of Basque/Donostia history and other 2 hours of Basque cusine. History part was quite sketchy and with jumps for 200-300 years however modern chronicle was informative and very interesting. Culinary part of the tour was great, we've visited 5-6 bars with big selection... More
