Looks small from the outside but larger inside ( like Dr Who's Tardis ). Not a bad admission fee either. We have been to similar Aquariums in Monaco , Cannes and Portugal but this was voted the best by my teenage children. For once they forgot their hunger and wanted to stay longer !

This is a facinating Aquarium and museum about the history of fishing in the area. I am glad to see the importance they place on the fishing industry of the area, the first view rooms are given other to this topic and very interesting it is aswell. The Aquarium is really good aswell with lots of interesting fish. If I... More

This aquarium is past the eastern edge of la Concha beach, near the old city. It has two main parts, a maritime historical museum and then the pescatorial exhibits! Both are beautifully arranged and a pleasure to peruse. There are cold water and tropical fish on display. One detects the hand of an artist in the juxtaposition of the fish... More

We did this on a rainy day. Its a nice little aquarium with some impressive sea life. Kids seemed to love it. For adults it´s a bit boring and not cheap (13 euros per person). Only go if you need a rainy day activity or happen to love aquariums.

I thought the highly vocal excitement of the many children was amusing, though my ears were ringing afterwards. The displays were quite good though lacking colour. I got the feeling that many of the fish were sickly, glazed looking.

I wasn't very enthusiastic about visiting an aquarium, so my wife went by herself. She enthused about the place, reporting that is effectively a museum as well. She spent over an hour in there, and would have liked to stay much longer. We are going back to SS and she is keen to go again, and I shall definitely go... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this aquarium. While modest in its fish displays, it had other areas telling the history of the city and boat models. There was also an excellent art exhibit while we were there. It was a nice break from the walking, eating, and drinking that are the main attractions when the beach water is still too cold.

Whilst very similar to every other aquarium you find around the world, this one did have some history about San Sebastian which we found insightful. There are also not many tourist attractions in the area so it is something to do during the day other than just eat and drink!

The aquarium in San Sebastian is small, but packed with history of the area and it's shipping and fishing origins. The main display (complete with clear walking tunnel) was breathtaking and we stayed for over an hour in this area alone just drinking in the amazing feel of having sharks swim right over your head! Lots of information and not... More
