Interesting collection of miniture ships and facts about the history of San Sébastien, followed by a collection of shells, crabs and shark jaws. Large range of beautiful fish, a transparent tunnel where the sharks and fish swim over and around you. Definately worth a visit, the aquarium is situated in a nice location too.

Visited with my wife & 2 children (11 & 9). They enjoyed the aquarium (the nautical exhibit didn't capture their imagination) with the tunnel through the main tank very impressive. However given the €40 price, it all seemed over a bit quick.

We have visited lots of aquariums in Spain and abroad but this one doesn't have anything extra. It's nice but not great. Or maybe we've seen too many already :-) The ticket is 13 Euros per adult.

Really fun way to look at some marine life. Very cool place to walk around and check out. The marine life is vibrant colours and the layout is easy to get around.

The aquarium in San Sebastian is half naval museum, half aquarium and is simply fantastic. There are wonderful seafood restaurants right on the pier for a delicious lunch before or after the visit. Go there!!

I liked the way the start is not with the fish, but with ships. Beautiful model ships on display. At some I could have done with more explanation, though. Try to stroke the fish. Tricky. Nice displays. The gift shop was a bit disappointing.

When you begin the tour, it starts off with a museum that details the history of seafaring, shipbuilding, naval trade, fishing, and whaling in the area (and throughout the Basque country in general). This includes a full whale skeleton hanging between the 1st and 2nd floors, which is quite something to look at. I could tell some of the other... More

Once inside I spent the first 20 minutes wondering whether I had taken a wrong turn and entered the naval museum instead of the aquarium. Perhaps this additional content helped justify the slightly inflated price for visiting such an exhibit. I noticed that kids were getting the most out of the aquariums but for me there was no wow factor.... More

The more positive reviews are definitely the right ones. We enjoyed it a lot - a family of 2 adults and 2 small children.
