This aquarium is located just across the harbour with a superb view over San Sebastian bay. The first two floors are dedicated to naval/maritime history of the region and is therefore quite strange to see when you expect fish tanks (but very interesting, although kids would not really like everything I suppose). For the fish tanks part, it's lovely, great... More

We went on Friday to the aquarium, I didn't even know it existed but my wife had done a little research and wanted to go. We arrived outside it and the cue was 50metres out the door, so I thought this must be top class attraction. As we entered the building about to pay I seen a massive poster stating... More

It was my first visit in such aquarium and it was a wonderful experience. The ticket price of 12 euros seem reasonable and if you are a student you get discounts as well. At a deposit of 2 euro they also provide with headphones where you can listen to the stories related to the museum and the objects. The view... More

Nice for a one-off visit, but it's quite small and a little dull, offering nothing unique. Will keep kids occupied for a while, but it's nothing special.

I was surprised by the first two floors which are a history of the town and really put everything in context. From trade and rowing to the notoriously vivacious local women. The aquarium was great. I especially enjoyed the big tank where stingrays and sharks zoom by inches from your head. The fish all look healthy and well cared for,... More

I came here to see how the place would be different from other Aquariums around the world and I was not let down. The location is wonderful and the staff was really helpful.

The top floor of the aquarium was more of a naval/fishing museum which detailed the history of San Sebastián as a fishing port. It was quite educational and interesting to find out more about the history of this beautiful city. Can imagine that it used to be quite a bustling fishing port. The lower floor houses the aquarium which has... More

It is right along the waterfront so you get to see local fishing boats as you approach. A good sized museum that doesn't take all day to enjoy.

This isn´t a huge acquarium but it is well put together and has a little bit of everything. It´s nice that they added a section on how the fishing influenced the culture of the Vasque people. The tunnel is the highlight, with two big bull sharks roaming around.

I don't have kids, but we saw lots of parents taking theirs and kids were really enjoying all the museum. It is really well thought and has sharks in a big tunnel aquarium, amazing even for us, not kids anymore.
