The aquarium included both live specimens and the history of seafring and fishing in San Sebastian. It is a perfect way to spend a rainy day and the scale is just right. Not too much and not too little.

Went to San Sebastian for the day and came across an aquarium. Decided to go in and it started off by them telling you to go to the 2nd floor which gave history of the spanish fishermen and boats and then you go down the stairs to the aquarium which had a lot of species of fish. Well worth it....

This "aquarium" is actually more a maritime history museum of San Sebastian, and very well done. Perhaps a little expensive at €12, it is still a very good way to become acquainted with this interesting area, which is closely bounds to its maritime history.

This is a very old Aquarium that a few years ago was renovated with a very clever use of space .Once you enter it is surprising how many exhibits are .

The aquarium is very nice, but I ended up thinking it's very small. Maybe I got a different idea before I went there... Still, nice :)

We happened to find this on a rainy day trip to Donostia. It was a nice break from the churches and museums. The exhibits were interesting but typical for an aquarium. There were lots of seafood restaurants nearby.

it's good for kids. The aquarium is quiet nice, surprisingly. They have good selections of fishes and sea creatures.

We have seen other aquariums, but this one is different, and whne you go throught it, you feel you are under the water , and with the sharks on top of you you feel those sharks can do you no harm at all . This is a mus for people in san Sebastian

Go here, it is very much worth it. Starts with some whaling / sailing ship history, finishes with tank after tank of amazing sea life, walking a tunnel surrounded by sharks, giant fish, sea turtles, moray eels and the like.
