Pintxos, Rioja wine, seafood, cider, Idiazabal cheese....the tiny Basque region of Spain has more than its share of delicious treasures. Here at San Sebastian Food, our obsession is sharing the culinary secrets of this beautiful landscape with our clients. Our tours and experiences are authentic glimpses into the often secret world of Basque food, wine and culture. San Sebastian Food is the Basque Country's original guide company focused entirely on the region's culinary attractions. We are a family of a dozen food and wine professionals, comprised of locals, experts and passionate foodies with an expansive knowledge base. We lead culinary tours throughout the Basque Country in northern Spain and southern France. From cooking classes and jamon carvings, to visiting wineries and local markets, to simply hitting the old town for a fun night of pintxo bar hopping, our experiences are the epitome of easy luxury, tailored to your desires. San Sebastian is the culinary capital of the world, with more Michelin stars per capita than anywhere else on the planet, a farmer's market six days a week and hundreds of bustling pintxo bars. Locals plan their day around where to eat and what to drink, and we aim to give you a taste of authentic San Sebastian, with an added dose of expertise.

Can't rate this highly enough. Our guide Lourdes was fantastic company and a wonderful host. The food enjoyed on the tour was diverse and delicious. It was a wonderful evening and I can't see how anyone would fail to enjoy it. I'd happily do it again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

My husband and I took the San Sebastián Foods pintxo tour with Ane I. Last Friday night and it was by far our favorite experience during our time in San Sebastián. Ane was an amazingly friendly and knowledgeable guide and she interspersed history in with the gastronomic traditions and delish food and wine. she made the whole tour feel like... More

We had a marvelous tour guide, Lourdes. Her background as a native of San Sebastián gave the tour the quality of a walking tour with the added bonus of wonderful food and drink. We have gone on many tours, but this was the favorite of our entire family. We went to six bars where we were served two pintxos and... More

We booked the tour after researching online and like everyone else, we were not dissapointed. If it is your first visit to the Basque region, I would go as far as to say that it is a must. We were overwhelmed by the amount of pinxtos bars on offer on our first night, but after Ane's tour we felt more... More

I was sceptical about going on a Pintxos tour as it felt a bit like paying to go on a pub tour in the UK (i.e., it sounded like something you could just do on your own steam). However the experience was fantastic and it was well worth the expense and effort. Lourdes is a fantastic host and incredibly warm.... More

Our experience was amazing. Lourdes our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to be around. We took the Basque Cooking class which started with a tour of the market. Loved it. We returned to the kitchen- great design and set up. We learned a lot- in a fun atmosphere. It was like dining with old friends. Don't miss... More

Usually my husband and I don't do tours of any sort (unless it's by bicycle) as we're not big fans of being herded around with loads of other gawking tourists. This pintxos tour however, might well have changed our opinion! Our guide Ane was amazing! So genuine and informative - none of the tour felt forced or awkward. It was... More

Lourdes, our guide for this experience was warm and welcoming, and proved to be great fun as well as very knowledgeable. Her potted history of San Sebastián before we started set the scene for a wonderful gastronomical evening. Excellent wines, great food and a fun atmosphere, what more could a tourist want?

The Tapas in San Sebastián is incredible! Free tapas and drinks that are very inexpensive. We routinely had great food and drinks for 7 Euro each! The town has high end shopping, beautiful scenery, and a historic district that are very nice! This was our favorite spot in Spain!!

Our guide Vicki not only made us feel welcome to her city she also gave us an insight into the amazing food culture of Domostia. Vicki was a great host and we thought the experience was exceptional value.
