We spent half a day in Bilbao to visit the Guggenheim museum. Before the opening of the museum in the morning, we walked around the city and passed through this square. It is large and in a good location.

You must walk Bilbao to truly enjoy it. While there are plazas of greater interest this is where Gran Via transitions from the old town to the shopping and commercial district.
