The funicular climbs up the very steep side to the top of the Artxanda Mountain which features a park giving amazing views of the city. It costs less than one euro per journey and the journey lasts about 3 minutes.

The price and location of the funicular made it well worth the trip to the top. It is located not too far from some of the other attractions we visited. From the top you have a good view of the city. The day we went wasn't perfectly clear, but it was still enjoyable to sit on a bench at the... More

Unfortunately the day we visited was wet and windy so we did not get to see the great views of the city. However we could see enough to know that it would have been great.

Is there a cheaper public transport system to get to a panoramic view and a lovely Park anywhere else in Europe. As we say in Ireland," I doubt it says Croker".

The entrance is difficult to find in the maze of streets and is an imposing hole in the rock...very utilitarian. The trip was really good value on a couple of Euros for 3 of us. At the top you get great views of the city and there is a nice park to sit and relax in. We had the most... More

Really worthwhile trip as you get the most amazing views of the city and the surrounding countryside. There is a lovely park at the top and some restaurants if you wanted (we did not try them so cannot comment on how good they are!)

It's worth going up there! It costs a few cents only, the 5 min ride to the top is interesting in itself, and the top of the hill is a pleasant surprise: peaceful, invites to rest and look, and offers a great view of the city!

Lovely trip to see the city from above - you can even spot the airport! It's nice to see how the city is laid out from up there

The title is Artxanda Funicular, so I'll write about the funicular itself. The cost is 0.95€ one way, so you don't lose much even if you don't like it. It's a short, smooth ride up the hill. Unfortunately, you can't see much; if you want, you can stand and watch the city spreading as you climb. For what you get... More

The station down is a whole in the rock which looks bit dirty and has a lack of light. There are only two carriges and they take an awfull lot of time to start moving, never the less they are very old and not very clean, full of graffity and paints. It could be an amazing experience if they renew... More
