This is definitely something that you should do when visiting Bilbao. At a cost of 1.90 euros for two adults (one way) the funicular is a very cheap but extremely worthwhile outing. Definitely worth doing it on a clear sunny day to make the most of the amazing views out over Bilbao on one side and the airport on the... More

Fantastic views of the city and a fun ride to the top at great value. You will find this just over the pedestrian bridge nearly opposite the Gugenheim and a couple of blocks in.

There are fabulous views of the City from the summit. It costs 95 cents each way and is very well worth doing.

A stroll along the river and across to the Old Town side. Easy to find on a tourist map. Very cheap funicular ride and amazing views from the top over the entire city. There are a few restaurants at the top (which I didn't try) so there should be no problem finding a drink and other facilities. There are plenty... More

A worthwhile trip up the mountain, not far from our hotel , trains leave every 15 mins and cost less than €1. Need a clear day to get good pictures of Bilbao.

Inexpensive with great view of the city. Lots of locals using to get up and down the hill. Fun activity in nice weather.

If you are going from the old town to the Guggenheim museum, you can pass in front of the funicular. It is a good idea to take the short ride to have a nice panoramic view of the city. It is also open until 10 pm, only costs 2 € round trip, and only take a few minutes to ride.

Great value at under 2euro return, this funicular railway takes you up to lovely park, where you can walk & view the city from a fantastic vantage point. There's also a bar & restaurant on the right as you leave the station at the top - quite pricey though, so we took a picnic, as there are lots of benches... More
