Most Beautiful football stadium in the world!!!!

The most beautiful football stadium I have ever visited in my life. This new stadium is amazing, including all the bars and restaurants around.

Although there was no stadium tour available we managed to see the ground from the upstairs Bilbao shop. The workmen are still working on the stadium and it is up there with Barca or Madrid but smaller at 53000+.Reaching this years final of Copa del Rey has given the team and Bilbao a real boost.

The San Mamés is a fantastic new stadium with the stands right on top of the pitch. The people of Bilbao treat Athletic like a religion and it was a great experience to be a part of it. The stadium is in the middle of the city and is an integral part of the city. There is no worries about... More

I visited Bilbao for a Europa League game some weeks ago. This stadium is a real temple of the sport and all the comments I had read about it dont do justice. Integral part of the city and surrounded by bars that ooze passion for their home team, the San Mames is easily accessible and awe inspiring. When the Athletic... More

Nice Stadium but as a visitor, inside a net cage, the visibility is bad... Rather have Glass or other solution, but this net is terrible!!!

Having booked my weekend in Bilbao, I hoped to see a game, especially as the hotel I booked was opposite the stadium. I realised quite early that due to ground developments I would not get a ticket for the game against Malaga, but I later found that presumably because of TV the game was switched to Monday. However the disappointing... More

Home to Athletic Bilbao. The stadium tour was very enjoyable and I would recommend it to any football fans visiting the area.

I visited the stadium museum with my wife, my daughter and her boyfriend.who's ver fond of football teams. Fortunately our turn of visit was with a school group of basque boys and girls with their tachers. We visiteted the press room, the wardrobe of players and at the end we went in the green field which was cared by a... More

If you are a fan of Athletic then this is no doubt the Holy Grail, for anybody else it is slightly odd: the exhibition is interesting enough but like so many other things in the Basque country it simply ignores the dictatorship and the impact on the club - for instance they were forced to change the club's name at...
