The Casco Vieja or old town is a food lovers paradise. Stroll through the "seven streets" and you will find a myriad of tapas (Pinxos) bars. Brilliant atmosphere and such a choice. A safe place and wonderful locals any time of day. Tiny narrow streets, and lots of people enjoying themselves.

Pretty narrow streets, loads of shops, bars and nice architecture. The touristic brochure recommended Victor but it opened quite late so we had a couple of tapas at the bar, which was ok, and then moved to SORGLNGULO in Plaza Nueva where we had to die for calamari for pennies. Everything was quite cheap even the wine. We walked from... More

Loads of cute shops and restaurants. Basically the same old part of any other city in Pais vasco. Personally I liked the old part in Gasteiz way more. Make sure you have a meal at one of the cute places though. I had a breakfast in Harralde - very nice croissants they have there!

great narrow streets, great bars and places for helado or pastry. It is hard to give a neighboorhood five stars, so I guess it is a four star neighboorhood, but i hope that the rating does not hurt the neighborhood's feelings.

This neighborhood is very well worth the walk with nice weather, as you can pass by the different stores and enjoy the authentic character of the area. When you're around make sure to pass by Plaza Nueva, a nice marketplace where people now gather to play with their children of stop for a drink.

Plenty to see, plenty to eat and drink and a really genuine experience. A few hours will get you to see all that it available, but include some 'pit stops' along the way.

We started our stroll at the Federico Moyua Plaza in the centre of town, down the main shopping street, the Grand Via - to the old town. The old town is compact with just seven streets and the cathedral in its midst. We sat outside the cathedral in the beautiful sunshine and a traditional 4 piece pipe and drum band... More
