Great for a stroll

Great for a stroll. Plenty of shops and places to see. Nice little bars for a quick beer. Check out the Camino markers on the floor as the route goes through this area.

This Old Town is nice to stroll through but there is not much to focus on. The market and stops at the various tapas bars are good choices.

We wandered around on a sunny Sunday afternoon, drank some nice espresso and clara (beer with lemon juice) and ate tapas on the main square while doing some extensive people watching. It looked like the entire Balboa population was out and about and the nice surprise was that we only saw one little girl playing a computer game on a... More

Very nice "old part" (casco viejo) of Bilbao with lots of restaurants, shops and street performers. There you can enjoy the real spirit of Baskia.

This is a criss cross of alleyways and you can easily get confused where you have been so I usually take a few extra photos of places on the way just as reference points. There is so much to see, lovely buildings, beautiful squares, a cathedral, the largest indoor food market in europe, a fantastic bridge with beautiful views. It's... More

other than the cathedral and fish market and san anton church- nothing really of note and you can walk around it in about 20 minutes or so. Shopping area and some bars but main area is across the bridge- and watch out for pick pockets

Easy to get into and quite easy to get around. Full of cafes, restaurants and smaller shops. Very quaint and atmospheric.
