Gijón is a wonderful "pocket-size" city and one of the best things one can do here is take stroll along the beach of San Lorenzo. Whether in the morning or evening, there will always be people walking, on bicycles, on skateboards or rollers just going up and down enjoying the sunny days (especially in summertime). One can also surf or... More

The local people of Gijon take an evening stroll along the beachfront before evening meal. It is a beautiful yellow sandy beach with a wide tidal range, so it is very popular with local people for football games. At the western end you can wander into the strees of the old town and the marina.

really a lovely beach with great views of the Bay. Parking was pretty easy too. The day we were there, there was a fair at the Iglesia de San Pedro and an airshow. So check dates before you go as there are lots of things going on

Nice playa to stay in summer, great for a walk in winter.. Close to all interesting sites in Gijon.. But also nice place to just take a small break from the city centre.. Nice waves for surfing occasionally..

The best viewing is at the end near the Plaza Mayor. When I was there in June, the Atlantic was far to cold for swimming, so I can't... More

Beautiful beach, well kept, clean and easy to enjoy. I walk on the beach at least 2-3 days a week, so happy to have moved to Gijon.

If you like wind and cold water with a beautiful waterfront, I mean a long walking path with a beautiful coast...visit Gijon San Lorenzo. Compared to Sydney there s the same low key atmosphere during the non touristic season and the same busy stuff during the vacation time. Anyway Sydney is my favourite but Gijon is nice and peaceful, very... More
