Great beach. The waves were fun - I can tell why the surfers love it. Great for a walk or a run, along the sand or promenade. Deckchair hire only €1.50 for the day, and there was plenty of space when we went (the tide was out).

It was a beautiful day to stroll along the beach and people watch. There are very large tides there and sometimes there is no beach or there could be 100 feet of beach. It is a nice place to spend a few hours.Walk along the boardwalk and enjoy the views.

We stopped in Gijon for a day on a European cruise and were very excited to visit the beach which was rated so highly on TripAdvisor and other sites. It was rated as the second best attraction in Gijon, which in hindsight makes sense because it seems that there is quite ,internally nothing to do or see in this town.... More

We recently went to Gijon and this area was very pretty, lots of people walking on the boardwalk and there were surfers in the ocean. Very Nice.

Walled the promenade by the beach ppb a sultry sunny afternoon. So many people were in the water, strolling on the beach or just lying taking up the rays. There is a beach patrol in the centre of the beach and a tourist information on the promenade.

It was very windy when we were here in March and the waves were huge and ideal for surfing . The beach is massive and immaculately clean and maintained . I would imagine it is packed in summer .

Absolutely superb sandy beach right by the town. It could do with a few more showers, but otherwise perfect.

you can go to Gijon only to see this magnificent bay and enjoy the beach. There are most than 2 Km of bay where you can walk. All churches were closed.

Lovely beach, very Spanish............clean and good stretch of beach to walk along. Refreshing sea which is very good for surfers and there were surfing clubs to learn to surf if you wanted. Plenty of space for children to play.
