The tour (3.5-4h) was very enjoyable & interesting. Our guide was Gonzalo who did it in Spanish & very good English. He was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. We saw lots of animals: deer and game with fawns, wild boar with piglets, wild horses and foals, as well as wild cows apart from many types of... More

Of our 7 day holiday around Seville we spent 2 days in the park. This is a magnificent area for bird watching, heard so much about it prior to going and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Our bird count numbered over 80 species and several that we could not ID. Even if your a none birder a visit... More

The chance of seeing Iberian lynx is slim. I was unlucky but met 2 ladies who had seen one ...just the luck of the draw. You have to go on an escorted tour but the tour driver and leader were knowledgeable about flora fauna and birds.. A very good information centre where we were able to buy a drink and... More

Birds birds birds but also peaceful good walking ( heavily restricted access to park but don't let that put you off, still worthwhile and you can walk the beach foreshore as far as you like. Don't fake a membership of a brotherhood to be able to walk through the park there are some realky protected species and habitats and the... More

For the ultimate European safari try getting to one of Spain's largest nature reserves, access is beyond Seville and usually necessary to stay overnight at El Rocio to get the 8.30 (prompt) start. For the 4 hour guided tour. 4 wheel drive Unimogs allow for high up viewing of the 35 Km beach that forms the first part of the... More

My husband insisted on visiting the park and I am so glad we went! The landscape is magical. We saw mostly birds, and I am disappointed I didn't get to see the elusive Iberian lynx, yet the tour of the park is worthwhile. We toured with Cooperativa Marismas del Rocio, the concessionaire on the park grounds. Our guide, Gonzalo, spoke... More

Tried to take a tour of the Park in January. If you are English with little Spanish, don't try! You are not welcome, the receptionists make that obvious. There are two 4 hour tours per day 0830 and 1500, In Spanish only and you must book ahead. After that information is passed on then it's "Please do not disturb". Sad,... More

The park is heavily protected from occasional visitors and access is only given through guided tours. We did not take one.
