This is one of the most interesting sites in Granada and well worth a visit. It can be reached by bus or by walking roughly 20 minutes from the center of the city. The carvings, use of alabaster, marble and wood and elaborate decorations are marvelous. more

The Monastereo de Cartuja (e3.50 open till 13.30) is 2km north of the city centre, and is very elaborately decorated in parts and has a peaceful cloister garden with orange trees.
