What was impressive was the sense of space, as much as the decoration. It is the centerpiece of the city.

Lovely square cathedral and well worth a visit. Some great art works and a lovely altar. We were lucky to hear the organist practicing. Male sure you visit the Chapel Real afterwards to look at the altar and spanish grill as well as the little coffins of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain.

The architecture inside the cathedral is very impressive - lots of gilding everywhere (as expected!). Most impressive of all is the organ loft - I guess you could call it stereophonic as the array of pipes are repeating on either side of the aisle (not sure of the correct terminology) - regrettably it seems it's only played during mass on... Lovely architecture and a huge building. Very impressive. Certainly make sure you find this and take a look around. Unfortunately, they close the main building at 18:45, and therefore we didn't get to go inside.

This impressive cathedral is tucked away in a side street so it's size is not seen until you enter. There is a charge to enter and we were happy to pay to escape the heat for a while. Taking photographs is forbidden, although in fact many people were taking them (including me). As long as you don't use flash I... More

Tucked away down side streets in Granada is this beautiful building costs so little to go inside but so very worth it. A vast space with a beautiful altar....even for those with little or no religious belief the building itself is well worth the effort.

We heard that this is one of the most impressive and beautiful cathedrals in all of spain and it did not disappoint. A must see on your visit to Granada and when combined with the Alhambra make Granada a must stop locale for any trip to Spain.

The cathedral is a wonderful place to sit and soak in the peace. It is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. Just think of all the hundreds of years people came to worship and learn of God. It is a beautiful place to walk around and explore the beauty.
