Visiting the caves of Sacromonte is a must in Granada. The show here is full of enthusiasm and energy. They have a great cast of dancers and musicians who will give you an inspirational and passionate introduction to Granada style flamenco. We purchased a package that included dinner and the show, preceeded by a tour of the Albayzin neighborhood. Definitely... More

Dive into the fascination and excitement of the Andalucian gipsy flamenco. Watch the inticate interaction of the very impressive flamenco guitarist with the dancers and the accompanying group. Certainly something you shouldn't miss when visiting Granada.

My husband and I were staying at an Airbnb directly above Venta El Gallo, so of course we had to go for a show since we could hear it from our room every evening. The performance itself was good (I am admittedly not a flamenco expert, but we enjoyed it), however the bartender and staff were generally not very pleasant... More

The pros: + good tour of Albaicin and Mirador San Nicolos at night which we probably wouldn't otherwise have done. + see sacromonte caves + great flamenco singing and music, could've been the gypsy kings! + nice flamenco dancing. Im unable to say how good it was because I have no knowldge of how it should be. The cons: -... More

The setting is excellent - lovely view of the Alhambra. Then its works simply like this: Good tapas and a 'free' drink. Everything else (a guitarist, good company, the drinking of the free drink conspires to encourage a second (third, etc) drink at EUR 4! So obvious that a number of cervejas and sangrias later, everything was grooving along very... More

Had a great time and surprisingly good dinner here. Six of us had ate on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Alhambra followed by a Flamenco performance. Since it's pretty touristy, I thought the food might suffer, but I had delicious pork kabobs and a lemon cake for dessert. Highly recommend.

The best flamenco in Andalusia is in Seville, Andalusia's biggest city - where the performers are more serious and composed and the flamenco is filled with passion. In Granada however, in the caves of Sacramonte, the flamenco performers are real gypsies in the venues they have performed in for centuries. What is better - it's up to you to decide.... More

The perfect cliche of touristic trap! The performers were good and their dance was eyes catching. However, general atmosphere, place and food are very disappointing - if not of very low quality ! A bus of tourists was jammed in the first 10 lines of what seemed an improvised theatre. Those on the back could appreciate the higher part of... More

The Venta El Galle Flamenco show, which was arranged through South O'le Spain Tours, provided a bus to take patrons on a 20 minute walk through the Albycin area prior to taking us to the El Galle restaurant in the Sacromonte gypsy cave district. There is a steep climb up to the restaurant from the street but there is a... More

Venta El Gallo is a touristy flamenco cave restaurant, located in the former gypsy section of Granada. The food is average at best, although the included table wine keeps flowing. The music and flamenco dancing is very loud, redundant, and repetitive, although the participants try hard. We left before it was over to go outside and get some air and... More
