an interest place to learn about the history of Andalusia

It is a very interesting place with very well designed audiovisual presentations teaching you about the history of the region. The visit takes about 1.5 hours.

The Museo Caja Granada Memoria de Andalucía is a museum that does not get many visitors, but it is a very good museum that has plenty of information about the history of Granada and Andalucía. There are many displays that explain geography and history. There was one exhibit that showed how they made the plaster casts to decorate the Alhambra.

This is a fascinating 5 year old interactive history of Andalucía, somewhat oddly arranged in that it is 4 galleries each arranged as a hands on pictorial exhibition with a written history in parallel. Interesting both for adults and children... very underused ... with an art gallery on the second floor in a rather lovely building. The Collection is nothing... More

This isn't really a museum - it's a place where you can touch and feel and experience the wonderful tradition and history that is Andalucia. Be it architecture, poetry, agriculture, plants, animals - it's all there. There are drawers you call pull out, knobs you can press and sounds you can hear - a multimedia experience (also in English!) that... More

This is an excellent, in depth look at Andalucia past and present. It is appropriate for all Ages and all the explanations are translated into English. A must see and visit!,

I've been coming to Granada for years but yesterday was my first visit to this treasure store. Beautiful, cool (on a scorchio day), and full of amazing info so well organised that your head won't hurt afterwards! Took my 2 yr old grandchild who loved it too because there things to touch, open etc. Will definitely go again - with... More

The Museo Caja Granada Memoria de Andalucia is dedicated to explain Andalucia. The exhibits are interactive and are about history and geography and there are many interesting videos. What is good about the museum is that the explanations and videos are both in Spanish and English. The exhibits cover art, history, geography, modes of life, and land and cities. Every... More

This attraction should be better advertised. It is a little way from the centre of Grenada -we took a taxi, but with better research could have got there by bus. It is designed to capture the imagination of young and old alike (we are pensioners, so admission was free). It has a variety of presentations, from diaromas to characters who... More

The city of Granada’s new Cultural Centre, ‘Memoria de Andalucía’; is a highly contemporary and innovative celebration of the region’s history, landscape, culture, and people. In my mind, this cultural centre may well be the type of mold-breaking institution to change the idea of what a museum is and how it communicates with its audience. Combining world-class, avant-garde contemporary architecture... More
