We have been visiting La Carihuela for many years. It is a very safe area for families, with a variety of restaurants. We can thoroughly recommend staying at the Cabello Hotel, eating at the nearby Nicks Bar and relaxing on the House Beach where Jose always welcomes you with a lovely smile!

There is nothing about carihuela I would dislike far better than torremolinos/benalmadena.the tight streets are full of resturants.

No traffic and flat. Lovely beach and great restaurants. Not the best for decent accommodation. To get on public transport you have to get a taxi or walk up a hill

It was too cold to actually sit on the beach but we walked along the prom at least twice a day and it looked very organised and ready for when the temperature is higher. Some of the bars and shops are still closed because it is still early in the season but the ones that were open provided you with... More

Lovely part of Spain with very good beaches with plenty of good restaurants and bars, beware of some bars like Balu Beach over charging for advertised priced drinks on their boards outside

Yes, it's just about all there in La Carihuela, lots of tourist junkets, nice little beach bars, beach side restaurants, love those ones with the wood burning barbecue with the sardines..mmmmm! Watch all the people going up and down, the posers, the beautiful people, the peddlers, skaters, joggers etc. But most of all, watch out for those pickpockets, they are... More

starting from puerto benalmadena walked consecutive 45 minutes on that shore but still could not come to the end. So nice sandy beaches, restaurants and many places to relax. Although it was february all beaches look like very clean, everyday sun was shining-that was our chance.
