I have been to all the Costa resorts in Spain and never really wanted a second visit, until we accidentally stumbled on La Carihuela. It is like a magnet drawing you back year after year, esecially in July when the Fiesta is on. We have been 5 times now, last year we were there on July 12th when the Fiesta... more

I cannot tell you how excited I am. About to jet off to La Carihuela again on 4 May and am taking my 81 year old mother for her first holiday in 7 years. I know that La Carihuela will suit her perfectly. Nice and flat for her to explore with her two new knee replacements. Little shops and bars... more

Went on this holiday with apprehension, My past experience of Spain have been the busy and noisy Torrmelinos. I am now older and partly disabled( Itake a wheelchair with me when I travel ) a friend recommended to me the small fishing village of La Carihuela. I can truthfully say it was perfect./ We booked the apartment through Owners Direct,... more

There is something about the place that grows on you,it gets in your blood and you want to keep coming back for more. It is so good that we are renewing our wedding vows there next year. The Carihuela is the best place on earth for all ages. We have been going now for about 10 years and it just gets better every time. We've stayed at Palm Beach Club, Alegria, and El Levante Apartments. All of them are excellent, clean, and wonderful value for money. I don't know what it is about the place, but it... more

You can walk for miles and never stop, we go everywhere on foot (except back from the nightclub when Im wearing heels!) Carihuela is LOVELY, the beach has beach bars about 500m... more

Had only visited La Carihuela once betore for about an hour so wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Carihuela is in between Torremolinos and Benalmadena and is a great place if you want a relaxing holiday. We stayed at the Carihuela Playa Sol apartments - nice but only a pool and no entertainment - so we spent... more

I have now visited Carihuela 4 times and it gets better everytime! This time we went with family and took kids and we all had a fantastic time. The food available suited everyone and Pascual 1 behind the promanade serves the best meat in the area. Also, Lola and her son Yogie at the Contreras Bodega across from Pascual have... more
