This is animal abuse! Please stop going to watch these type of tourist atractions. Spain has many nice things to see without having to hurt and torture a beautiful animal!

I and my husband were taken out here for a meal some time ago by someone who knew I was very anti bull fighting, bit of a power trip. The food was mediocre, and overpriced, and felt very unhappy there. Beautiful building used to torment bulls who have as much choice as gladiators....now what year are we in? Supported by... More

Great just to see the history of the place & the amazing arena. Don't agree with bull fighting as of old but it seems much more a display now, though we only visited the building & did not attend on a fight day

The Bulls have no chance and the Matadors are treated like film / football stars - it's barbaric , dated and wrong on so many levels.

Once there via lots of steps which have pretty little shops on the way so you hardly notice all the steps, Torremolinos is lovely full of shops and places to eat and drink very friendly very cosmopolitan

But un fortunately all the Matadors were in Mexico for another month or two. You can tour the Bull Ring and ask the guide question.

Spain still has several Bull Rings, some still in regular use too. While I was in spain, I visited two Bull Rings, one in Mijas, And one in BENALMADENA.(which is run down and out of use) So the one in Mijas is the one to visit. Its in a mountain village, very well kept, and is open to tourists daily, with many things... A modern plaza de toros with fantastic legroom and great toilets! I saw Ponce and Conde mano a mano and I would recommend the Hermanos de Miguel Angel across the road for a drink
