Firstly the man in the Pro-Shop remembered us by name which in any environment is a great touch! We played on the €50 golf, breakfast and a buggy deal and the breakfast was superb! The fairways were still green and the greens rolled true and fast but still held. I would still recommend this course as it offers great value... More

We played on the 16th July. Prior to playing we were told that the course was in good condition. It is not. There are masses of bare patches all over the course on lots of the fairways, and some on the greens too. The course needs lots of work doing to it to bring it up to even an average... More

If you - as I - reside in the Marbella area do not consider to play on this course. There are many lot more interesting courses to play in Marbella and close to the city. This course is far away from city centre. Estepona golf has an ok layout - maybe sometimes too much Disney-like - but what is important... More

Hi Torben I'm afraid your visit coincided with a month of extreme maintenance on the golf course - mostly involving hollow tyning of fairways, tees, and greens. Having done that, we then have to sand cap all surfaces which I assume is what you mean by brown in places. As the majority of this work has happened in the last... More

Having stayed in Estepona in February and March we were delighted with the improvements we saw. The greens continued to be excellent but the work done on the rest of the course made it a pleasure to play. The fairways became lush so it was unusual to get anything other than a perfect lie. The first and second cuts became... More

Played here on 27th April 2014. We arrived without a booking and saw the course was already busy. We feared the worse but the reception staff were amazing and shifted a few of the tee-times around to help us. He couldn't have been more helpful. The course was in really good condition, stunning in places and had amazing holes. The... More

We have played here twice in the last two weeks and it is was so nice to see the course in the best condition we have seen it in for the last ten years. Like many posters on here we have seen it and played it when it has been in a terrible state, and like many I guess that... More

After searching all round marbella for a new course to play I decided on estepona golf club, I did read some bad reviews which I'm glad I ignored because the course was in great shape, the fairways were lush and the greens were fast and true, the clubhouse was amazing with great views over the course, the only down side... I had some trepidation about the quality of the course after reading some of the reviews, but these were allayed by Andrew in the pros shop via email before we left the uk. The view from the first tee down the dogleg left was the first visible indicator that the course was in excellent nick. The staff were working very... More

Well worth playing, and great value! having played Marbella Golf Resort 2 days before, I was not expecting too much from this course, having seen previous reviews over the last few years, it looked like the course was in decline, well that’s certainly not the case, greens were great, fast and true, nice fairways, and some really spectacular holes with...
