This friendly museum, tucked away in the corner of Malaga airport is well worth a visit. With a number of large aircraft to visit and views across the airfield, it already had a head start. The original terminal building is fantastic, along with artefacts from the airport (eg runway lights). The staff are friendly and admission was free. I bought... More

I found this museum on a great local site called Marbella Family Fun. What a treat for the kids! They have hands on exhibits and a real cockpit for the kids to sit in. And it's free.

The museum is located at the far end of ruway 31 and next to highway MA-21, the general aviation parking and business terminal are also located next to the museum. Finding the museum was very easy, i took the train from Torremolinos to Malaga airport from where I walked about an kilometer to the museum, there are signs showing the... More

There is a lot of memorabilia from the early days of aviation, but not many of the captions are in english. Some of the displays are a bit tired, models that have fallen of stands etc. The place isn't very well sign-posted and I missed two of the outside exhibits because I didn't seen them until I was on my... If you are in any way interested in aviation, or especially in the early days of tourist aviation to Malaga, you wouldn't want to miss this one. A wonderful collection of memorablia for instance from the days when the flight from Helsinki, Finland to Malaga took 12 hours, with landings in Gothenburg and Paris. The museum personnel is very nice.... More

Museum Malaga Airport is located in the airport’s original terminal and according to info we were told this building was Malaga Airport around 20 years until late 1960's, then Aeroclub and finally became General Aviation Terminal. Museum presents the evolution of air transport and the affects on the development of tourism locally. There are objects of different airports in Spain... More

You have to really want to visit this museum because it's stuck out of the way behind the brewery at the end of the runway - and the airport information seem to have no knowledge of it! It's about a 20 minute walk from the new terminal, past the General Aviation (business) terminal so don't give up. (take a cab)... More
