On our trip north from Velez-Malaga we saw a village on the very top of a mountain. We set the course and after a lot of curves and great views we reached the new and impressive gate to the village. We got good service in the Tourist Office and followed the "footprints" wich guided us up and down and from... More

Just the trip (not for the fainthearted, once you hit the access road MA-165), to get to this beautiful little village deserves a good review on its own. Unspoilt by commercialism, (you would be hard pressed to buy a postcard here!), tranquil, steeped in history, and fabulous views over the Axarquia. Take an afternoon off from the beach, and discover the real Spain!

A trip to Comares takes you to the real Spain. It is perched on top of a mountain overlooking a vast valley. The streets are quite steep, but the views are well worth the effort. We went on an organised tour & our guide was superb, being local.Included in the trip was a Tapas lunch. A proper tapas lunch not... More

These towns are beautiful white towns that have not been discovered by mass tourism yet, so they conserve their traditions and you will not find many bars run by foreigners. The towns are still virgin towns and they have their special enchantments.
