Crowded, disorganized, pretentious. The building itself is interesting in an historical context but the contents are of little interest. Why do you want to see dioramas of the Mesquita and the Alhambra? Go and see the real things! Some really beautiful carpets on display but no information or explanation of why they were there. The first room with wax models... More

One thing we felt was missing from Cordoba was somewhere that brought its amazing history to life and though imperfect this was the closest we found. The English audio guide is delivered by someone with the most extraordinarily posh accent but once you've got over tittering at that the combination of guide and exhibits begins to bring the history to... The structure itself is very impressive, and ABSOLUTELY deserves a visit, but, above all, from the top there is a FANTASTIC view of the river, the Roman bridge, the Cathedral, and the city at large (the view of Alcazar is mostly blocked by the trees). On the other hand, the exhibition of the Instituto para el Diálogo de las Culturas,... More

I am with the last few reviewers of this little museum. I found it interesting and well presented. Whether it is historically accurate or not - an issue taken in trenchant terms by "Pgrrr", a previous reviewer - I am not able to say. History is always written by the victors and Christianity has had a firm grip on Spain... More

Amazing and "refreshing" to see (even more than anywhere else in Andalusia) that people from the 3 main monotheist religions had similar views on the world and how one should behave. Very instructive and very well presented.

Brilliant educational value. Nicely sums up Moorish contributions to Andalucian history and reveals interesting details about key figures from Cordoban history (Averroes, Maimonides et al). Strongly recommend visiting this, decent use of an hour or two.

A great little museum in a stone tower on the other side of the bridge near the Mezquita. It has a series of exhibitions, models and dioramas dedicated to aspects of Cordoba history and contribution to many aspects of life as we know it today. In particular, it showcases a time where the three great theologies Islam, Judaism and Christianity... More

I would recommend visiting the tower and its small but very well presented museum before going to the Mezquita. There are audio visual exhibits that provide great information to better enjoy the visit later on and to understand the history of this city. The view of the Roman Bridge and the Mezquita from the top of the Tower excellent!

Impressed with the audio description and the models of ancient Andalusia. It shows the extraordinary culture of Moors in Agriculture, Medicine and Astronomy. A must whilst visiting Cordoba.
