Probably there is nothing special about this place, but you pas through this market if you walk from the train station to the centre. It is a nice place, with those two important writers of Germany in the middle, holding hands. :)

These two famous statues of Goethe and Schiller, situated in the center of the city, is for sure the passage that you won’t miss. Just take your time to admire these 2 historical figures before visiting the nearby museums or the shopping center.

Here are the famous statues of Goethe and Schiller in front of the Theatre. This building has a plaque on it commemorating the founders of the Bauhaus. This square is at the centre of the town and all streets lead from it to the other attractions

with many opportunities to sit down and just relax and take in the beautiful view, the square is highly recommended. You can grab an ice-cream or a döner kebab from one of the nearby places and enjoy the sun.

It is a cool monument in the middle if a square between two museums and next to a shopping center. Nothing more to it. But, it looks real good and unlike most other places in Weimar, it's free! It's in the center of town, and you can pass by on the way to other stuff. What more do you want?

historic place for Germans with political sense ( Weimarer Republic) . Without much beauty, but with the famous statues of Schiller and Goethe.

The square in front of the Theater where the monument to Goethe and Schiller stands and where the pedestrian streets converge.

The statue of Goethe and Schiller arm in arm (although they were probably never seen together) in a lovely square between the Theatre where the Weimar government met, and the Bauhaus museum sums up the whole of classical Weimar.

Come see for yourself but pick up a tour map for free in the information center first. The platz contains the fronts of both the Deutsches Nationaltheater and the Bauhaus Museum.

This is a great place to sit and watch the world go by -- from the tourists visiting the museums to the locals passing by on their way home or classes.
