Weekend trip

Beautiful countryside across Denmark, nice hotel with good beach, pool, spa, perfect for a family weekend trip. Amazing restaurant, good service. Castle visit is a must!

Beautiful countryside across Denmark, nice hotel with good beach, pool, spa, perfect for a family weekend trip. Amazing restaurant, good service. Castle visit is a must!

We attended a wedding at the castle wearing kilts. Beautiful surroundings idyllic setting, the weather was hot. On the border of Germany and Denmark. We stayed in Flensburg and hired a van in Hamburg from Avis but we would use Europecar next time, both of which you can leave the vehicle in Flensburg Europe car was the easier to see... More

Eine wunderschon Schloss mit viels zu sehen. Beautiful Castle with lots of history attatched. The room with the giant globe, the Gardens and the fabulous furniture has to be seen.

Glücksburg is a bit outside of Flensburg but can be reached via bike easily. It is directly on the baltic sea and the beach gives very nice view. The town itself has some nice shops and has a bit of a disney feeling (very touristy in summertime) butthe main attraction is the castle, very well preserved and wonderfully situated to... More

Interesting to read about the Danish Connection and see the castle of our Queens ancestors. Nice surrounding. We also visited the nearby marina at Flensburg Fjord and hat a trip in the surroundings of Glücksburg.

The whole place is definitely worth seeing. we travelled to the very top for a big surprise when opening one of the doors...very funny really. Good gift shop, and nice town for lunch or coffee

Lovely little town with the caste its main attraction. there were many interesting shops and a few cafes with very reasonably priced food. Our only let downs were buses only ran once every hour from Flensburg, and the crabby old female bus driver who was less than helpful when we wanted to return home. But apart from that, quite a... Go there for a run it's great!! There is always people out there walking their dogs or couples holding hands. A nice place.

You can either visit beautiful castle which is in the middle of the lake or you can have a nice walk around white beaches.
