The views are amazing. Even though it was cold, windy, and rainy, we had a great time, and we will definitely come back in summer when it is sunny.

We were disapointed with this site, although the river vistas were interesting the terrace itself didn't do much for us - maybe it was just because it was a dull, drizzly day when we visited.

The view is great, but not outstanding for the historic center of Dresden. But during sunset this place looks really great, when the city lights light up and the sky gets darker. Real old Europe, as it stays in classic literature.

This terraced walkway is a wonderful way to view the Elbe River as it meanders along the Old Town area of Dresden. The view is wonderful and the terrace itself sits along many fine baroque architectural buildings.

The terrace is great for a morning walk before it gets busy, with a lovely view of the Elbe and the typical Romanesque architecture of Dresden all around. Come lunch time several restaurants open and it becomes a great place for coffee and cake. Definitely worth a visit!

A nice place to sit in good weather, enjoy the view, and sip a beer or aperitif. Or, if you are so inclined, the Hilton hotel has a cafe right on the terrace where you can get some nice pastries.

You can walk around there a bit but the terrace is not very big. Because Dresden lacks green in the center this terrace comes in quite "handy".

An elevated promenade with a view of the Elbe - that's about it for us really. Not very long so not leg stretching - the views over the river are nice but not particularly attractive. We were expecting street artists and maybe entertainers but in mid September there was just one hardy soul with his easel out. We did use... More

Did not understand what the huge build up about this place is about. It is just a place to walk along the river Elbe and that too could be done just as well from along the river itself,on the, as you say, the lower deck or terrace. Anyway go,so that you can tick another box.
