This absolutely beautiful terrace overlooks the River Elbe and leads to many other areas and buildings of significance in Dresden.

Perfect for a nice leisurely stroll, partly under trees, with a view on the River Elbe. Nice terraces to rest. Go here when you have visited the Zwinger, it is just next to it, and relax.

it is true to its name, resting between the river Elbe and the Old Town. it is a terraced promenade which was part of Dresden's original rampart until it became the garden of the Royal Palace. As you walk its length you can imagine people of many centuries enjoying the same view and experience of fresh air.

A must see when in Dresden. Make sure you walk up and down it one time to take in the beauty (and some pictures). Many coffee shops to relax and enjoy as well.

There's a lot to see on this Terrace - the water is on one side and an array of historic buildings on the opposite side. There's also a bronze statue and markings on the ground for all the planets, plus garden areas. Lovely place to visit.

Riverside views from here a must see, and the shade from the trees up there was very welcome on a day when the temperature reached 30 as it did when we were there. If you're lucky you might hit an open air concert,

On any day but particularly on a sunny one the views of the River Elbe and Dresden are exceptional from this vantage point. It's a great place to stop and pass the time of day for a few minutes and you see many classic sites from here. Worth the few minutes it takes to get up here.

Ok it depends on what you like as to how much you will enjoy the walk but it is a nice place to take a walk with gelato and just enjoy the day. Along the river front the view is nice and impressive when you think of the destruction that occurred in the war.
