Nice place to relax.

In the summer, a nice place to walk, sit and rest under the trees or grab a coffee and cake at one of the cafes.

You have to go here, of course, but the view is not the one you want because the terrace faces away from the Old City Center. You want to go across the river and see the Canaletto view.

Great place to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. You can just suck in the beauty of Dresden and look at the great views from the terrace.

I fell in love with Dresden just watching life from the benches near the river. Walk along here because it has this strange calm, even when there are lots of people.

One crosses the Elbe river on the Augustus bridge & enters the old world charm of Dresden`s life with the musicians playing their tunes & the painters engaged in painting the life around. There is also a new masters gallery & a collection of sculptures near by.

Grab a coffee or beer and sit here for a while, enjoying the splendors of the beautiful city or the river rolling by.

The wonderful old buildings along the southern bank of the Elbe are a delight to walk by (cafes, buskers and other strollers abound) but the view from across the river would fill a whole roll of film (that's an old-fashioned way of saying its worth taking lots of photos) - daytime or sunset!

The view from the terrace in Dresden is lovely, looking over the river at "new town". A group of musicians was playing on the end near a cluster of shops and restaurants; the music added to the beauty of the area.

Pleasant terrace with neat view of the governmental buildings across the river. Good people watching. Very close to many museums.

Quite a lively spot with bands playing all kinds of music on the grand steps leading up to the gardens. Well shaded in the summer with plenty of seating, ideal for a break on a hot day. The view along the river is very nice, with the steam boats docked just below.
