We were able to reach this through the Hilton where we were staying by going to the 2nd floor and through the vis-a-vis cafe. Beautiful views of Dresden from here.

This was an awesome view, day or night. Loved overlooking the river, loved the architecture of the adjoining buildings. Free to visit here, and it's close to many other sights, so why not? You won't want to miss it!

direct at the river Elbe is worth a visit too. From here you can see the vivid life on the river Elbe with all its passing boats and ships.

scenery from the terrace is simply magnificent, watching the boats on the river, the old grand buildings around, the cars on the highway, the trees in the park, the bridge, just sit on the benches and watch the day go by infront of you, a very relaxing atmosphere

...it's just a must have been there" when you come to Dresden! Take a look around: in the morning, afternoon or at sunset. You can't descrive...you have to feel and get fascinated about this special arrangement of buildings and the attraction of the historic center. And well, it's also a great point to start a steam boat tour from this... More

Soak up some sunshine, walk along the terrace with a wonderful view of the river, and stop for some ice cream or a coffee. The people watching is good too.
