We parked in a Park and Ride, and got the Pendel bus from there to the Hotel and amenities just at the start of the bridge. There are many breathtaking photo opps. Plus we kept walking round and eventually down to a lake, and then back up through a forest. It was one of the best parts of my holiday...

I had heard about Sächsische Schweiz for many years but never been before. This area truly deserves the accolades it has received, both from current tourists and back through the ages to the painters who discovered it in the 1700s.

I had the impression that this (most visited in Saxon Switzerland?) sight was optimized for bus tour groups, but not for individual travelers. As we were there over Easter, the schedule followed the "Sunday / holiday" time table which meant that the first bus in the morning from Hohnstein arrived ~ 11 a.m. and the last bus in the evening...
