Just spent Sunday afternoon in this beautiful spa, and it definitely has the best sauna garden out of all the many German saunas I have visited. Beautifully laid out with a woodland walk, many quiet shady or sunny areas and lots of levels. Loved the "vineyard area"! The whole complex is spotlessly maintained, with plenty of variety of saunas and... More

If you are willing to 'Dare to Bare', you'll have a very relaxing time in this excellent local spa. It's clean, reasonably priced, and offers many options in saunas, pools, rest areas, steam rooms, etc. They also offer a very nice lunch menu. Take your beach towel, a robe, and I take a water bottle.

A little more expensive than the local outdoor pools, but very nice for a rainy or cool day. There is something for everyone. They have a few different pool areas indoors and a nice outdoor area. I haven't tried the spa here yet but it also looked very nice.

This is a very enjoyable place to visit, but a bit expensive. Food inside was pretty reasonable, but you will not be permitted to bring food in. We went for a birthday. The staff check with us to verify the time we wanted the food we ordered, and it arrived 2.5 hours later which was exactly on time. I like... More

My 3 and 5 year old girls loved this place from the non-swimmers pools (one inside and one outside) to the wave pool with a nice gradually descending entry to the blackout water slide. It was not busy at all at the end of July, so no wait times for the slides and plenty of room in all the pools,... More

We had three adults and two kids go today. It was 30€ for the adults for 3 hours. The kids were under 12, so they got in free. The woman working st the front counter didnt speak very good English, so we were confused on the process. We found the lockers and they were easy to figure out. Put your... More

The sauna park and swimming pools are very relaxing. The sauna park is "textilfrei" (no cloths). Bathing suits are worn on the swimming pool side. Like most sauna parks in Germany you pay for your admission at the front counter. They use a chip system which is inserted into a coin machine and you pass through the turnstyle. That is... More

The best swimming facility in this area in my opinion. Water slides, hot tubs, wave machines etc etc... Only downside is the cafe is rather expensive, best bet is to pack your own food and take it with you, I saw many others doing it and no one seemed to mind (don't quote me on that though)! It can get... More

Germans' attitude to work carries over into one of their favorite ways to relax and have fun - EFFICIENCY IS ABSOLUTE. Monte Mare offers two areas with very seperate foci: the swimming area (large fun pool, two large sport pools and smaller children's pool) and the Spa. The majority of our visits were to the spa where we enjoyed hours... More
