This was not our first cruise but first on the much smaller, intimate river cruise ship. AMA Waterways was a delight from the very beginning, Embarkation is simple and quick as was debarkation, especially compared to the large ocean liners. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our needs. The food was excellent and plenty of it. The... More

The Schauffhausen falls also known as the Rhine falls in Germany are 150m wide and 23m high. Eventhough the falls might not seem too high, the sound of the falls can be heard from a great way off. I was taken to the falls by boat and as the boat drew closer I could feel sprinkles of water from the... More

May 2014. My partner and I booked this trip thro' Diamond Shortbreak/River Cruise Line. We were a bit wary having read some critical reviews , but on paper it seemed good value for money. Plus my partner had walking problems following a stroke some years ago . We were picked up by coach at Newcastle for a short trip tp... More

Booked Danube Cruise with River Cruise Line in September 2014. Pointed out we need Flight times and Terminals at Heathrow in order to get Flights from Edinburgh and Hotel booked at Heathrow. My husband and I went to Europe for our honeymoon, one place we visited was the RhineFall - it was breathtaking, considering we are a beach lovers. you could imagine the flow of water hitting against a century old rock surrounded by a picturesque environment. peace and tranquility with friendly locals. definitely worth visiting.

Viking achieve everything they promise but that's it, we had a pleasant cruise although much more value should have been given. All the features were very much the same as the budget cruises that we have been on previously, priced at around double the cost value is not great. No criticism of the crew or the Viking Tor itself, just... More

A friend and I went on the Moselle River trip to see the Christmas Markets. Having read some of the reviews I was slightly apprehensive. We paid about £280 all in for a five day trip - 4 nights aboard The Lady Anne. I think we had good value for money. The ship is old and a bit raddled, particularly... More

We spent a week cruising with Avalon Waterways northbound up the Rhine from Zurich to Amsterdam. A fun cruise that you may want to look into. Specially the best part of the Rhine is the middle Rhine with miles of castles. Check out Avalon Waterways website for much more details on this cruise.
