This convention center is very large. We come here every year. All is good, but no luxury. No carpet as we are used in USA, restrooms too basic. It is ok.

I was in Gruga Park this summer. The entrance kostet 4 Euro, but after 18:00 it's free. You can enter with bicycle, that's why, make sure, you have a lock, when you come there with bike.. I recommend you to go there with girlfriend. It's really romantic place, and there are a lot of flowers.

The location is pretty cool. Just walk through, jog or stroll. At various times in the year they hold some events there, sometimes with fireworks. In the summer time there is a good spot beside a small lake, where one can eat and drink.

There is a nice Hundertwasser house in this park. There's some nice birds too, and one can go around on a small train.

Beautiful park with water and waterfowl, a children's play park and lovely grounds. In summer there're open-air cafes but when I visited in October there was still a little kiosk open.

Grugapark offers you everything. It is not so much required to go there on rainy days because you are mainly outside but it gives you great space to go for a walk or a run, many activities to get physical or to just relax in the flower garden. It is perfect for kids or a barbecue with friends. You can... More

Big city park, 4 euro admission, with nice and long paths through meadows and trees. A big tower centered in the park reveals a nice view over the park. There's a Roland McDonald huose and a rock formation with waterfall. THere runs a train through the park and the orangery houses the Oktorail, a 4800 square meter model railway.

The park is nice and ideal for families with small children. The landscapes are nice and the gardens have sometimes educational value. On the other hand one can visit equally good parks (for example in Münster) free of charge. I would recommend a visit, if one has small children and/or nothing better to do.
