This monument near Düsseldorf and Duisburg is a great spot for photographers, as it is an walkable piece of art in a form of a rollercoaster! As it is on a mountain surrounded by old steal industry, you can watch and make pictures of the red/golden glowing ash from steelmaking, at night.......

There was no light on the small mountain. Be careful if you go there at night. But the tiger & turtle was so beautiful at night!

With a nice view, an exelent night ilumination, it is a must see spot in Duisburg. It is unlike every other atraction somehow connecting you to the region's culture and history. 10 minutes from the city center by car and easy to find and park.

I followed the Google maps instruction and took the train from Steinsche Gasse to Sittardberg. And, I walked from the station to this spectacular place. It was a long walking distance that about 3km away and it took me 40 minutes to reach there. It is located in a rural area and you have to walk your way up from... More

Nice place to visit. Just go up and feel the wind and have a nice view of the city. I would recommend you people to go in the evening.

The Tiger & Turtle/Magic Mountain is an intriguing piece of public art that is fun to climb and admire the views over the Ruhr area. There are some mildly challenging unofficial footpaths to the hill as well. Not an attraction to occupy more than an hour, but well worth the 20 minute tram from the main station.

I visited the Tiger & Turtle Magic Mountain with some friends in early April 2015. It is quite a sight! And it is good fun to walk around. I'd never seen anything quite like it and it really is worth going to see and having a walk around. I was disappointed by the fact this had been put in a... More

We have visited it in the evening, enjoyed the spectacular view on it, from it and around it. Would not go up there in a stormy or cold weather, even with a wind of medium strength it already feels shaky... but definitely fun!

Saw this plugged by TripAdvisor on their Twitter feed and knew I was going to be passing by so took a detour. It's fairly easy to get to and free parking on the road opposite. Nice uphill walk to get to it then great fun to play on. I visited in the day time but could see how it could... More
