Nordpark is very nice and relaxing, containing small but beautiful japanese garden, although as of june 10 aquazoo and couple parts of park was under construction (succulents area). There is small kids playground and nearby public toilets. You can cross the road at the end of park and watch the river traffic/Rheintower.

Nordpark is definitely one of Düsseldorf's best parks. It has a Japanese garden which is great, a little break from the world, but the contaminated water broke the ambience of the garden. The place is quite big and it takes some time to venture through it. AquaZoo is also located there but it was closed due to some constructions. If... More

The Nordpark is an amazing and diverse park, with anything you can wish for: space, grassy fields, trees, flowers, fountains, playgrounds. Even a Japanese garden. And an Aqua Zoo. To top it all off, it's strangely empty. Somehow, not many people go here, which surprises me a little more every time I'm here.

My husband have some work to tend to here im Dusseldorf, so I decided to take my 2 little boys yesterday for a walk in the Nordpark. We took a taxi from the Breidenbacher Hof hotel and it was about 10-15 minutes drive. Beautiful flowers and not so many people here so it was quiet and serene. There were playgrounds... More

My bfriend asked for an Americano coffee in the café to which the waitress in German shouted loudly in German "you are in Germany, what do you want" fortunately I speak German and caught her out. The only sign of rudeness or bad manners or attitude was in the café in the middle of the Japanese garden in Nordpark which... More

Aquazoo is shut for refurbishment so we spent a bit of time in a nice little cafe next door. bet it is lovely in the summer, but was a bit gloomy in January in the rain!

If you are really into walking, you could walk from the Konigsallee through the beautiful Nordpark and then continue to the Rhine and walk back through the Altstadt. That is a walk I took and really loved it. The Nordpark is a quite place with Swans and statues and Germans enjoying the slow life.
