I think it is not right place for average tourists. At least in February there was nothing special to see. Probably in spring or summer it is different. But in this season if you are not interested in high-end and high-priced shops, it is not the place to hang around for long time.

Was here to watch the carnival parade. Candy was being thrown into the crowd. High end cars and shops around the area.

Königsallee is a very well known street in and part of Düsseldorf so I think it's worth a trip. You can choose whether you stroll down the center area along the water, crossing the bridges to find the perfect photo op, or walk along the store fronts trying to decided whether to spend or just drool. This road has the most exclusive designer shops and stores in Germany. I walked along Konigsalle having an Ice Cream and enjoying the windows and people of all ages having a coffee in one of the restaurants and bars that you can find. A must visit i you are in the city!

It was just one big name store after another for a kilometer or so. For me, the only store that appealed was the Mayersche bookstore at Königsallee 18.Go off to a side street every once in a while and you will have much better things to see.

a must go place in dusseldorf, both for shopping or just hanging around. It lays right within the altstadt and all major brand shops are on the vicinity

This is the place to be for perfect exclusive window shopping. Almost each and every label has its shop here and a lot of well dressed stylish people.

The Königsallee (the King’s Avenue) is a boulevard in the D’orf. The Kö (as you call it when you want to blend in) is noted for both the landscaped canal that runs along its centre, as well as for having the highest concentration of women in fur coats anywhere North of the Alps. The story of how the Kö got... More
