Düsseldorf is well known for its Christmas markets and shopping malls/streets, but try to visit Medienhafen as well, next time to pay a visit to this city. The old harbour harbours some of the finest buildings, old and new go hand in hand, the architecture is awesome. If you take a stroll around the harbour, you might want to visit... More

Great to see these buildings up close. Lovely 30minute walk from main tourist area. All flat and by the river. Some great restaurants along the river near the buildings. Walk across the bridge to the Hyatt hotel for coffee and hot chocolate sat on the river. Gorgeous hot milk and real chocolate combination and nice to sit out and watch... More

This place really is a must visit when in Düsseldorf. The modern architecture is amazing and there are lots of restaurants and cafés nearby. It is also very nice that the city kept some of the railway relics intact.

Though the november cold it is a very nice place for a stroll. Just imagine how striving this place must be in the Summer... You can admire and walk by Frank Ghery's Houses and watch the Tower. There are fine restaurants around and one in particular by the water literally. From there you can reach another architectural landmark by the... More
