Once a working harbour this is now the home of the Media Set who do tend to fancy themselves. Never without a smart phone or iPad they are rarely approachable in the cafés. This is really a lunch break location for the Media Mob during the working week but on weekends it is well worth visiting, Good hotels and good... More

MedienHafen is consisted of three buildings, that have strange and different architecture. The architect is Gehry. Worth a visit.

Yes, the architect is very very famous, and the buildings look a bit different from other architectural offerings in the city, but currently, some of the facades look quite outdated (stained, flaking, etc) and needs some care and maintenance. Even when the sun is shining, the side not facing the river is rather dark and shaded. It's nice to see... More

A must see when visiting Dusseldorf, very unique buildings. Also great to visit at night as the lights change how all the buildings look. It is only a short work from Alstadt and well worth a visit.

Very interesting and funny place! Located aside from the main city attractions, but easy accessible by public transport. A former port was rebuilt to modern futuristic fun area, here you can see old port buildings and machines and the world-famous asymmetrical sweep buildings that became the landmark of Dusseldorf. A lot of cafes and restaurants, nice atmosphere. Worth to spend... More

Its maybe one of the most amazing architecture places in whole North Rhine Westfalia. Its a totally different architecture than anywhere else and not only "normal" architecture but a very special, individual and abstract one. Walk around, enjoy crazy buildings and visit on of the great upper-class restaurants and bars over there.

The medienhafen is for sure worthy visiting. You can walk around and enjoy a different Düsseldorf. And if you like modern architecture and photography you'll appreciate it even more!

Spend a half hour and wander around the marina. There are some very stange shaped buildings here, particularly the Neuer Zollhof, a complex of 3 separate buildings where the facades curve and lean.
