Modern architecture, dancing buildings, climbing men. Lots of places to eat. Smart usage of old and uncommited spaces of old dock yard

I did read good few reviews about Media harbour. I visited it few days ago and i wasnt that impressed. Well its nice to walk around, but area is quite snobbish, full of expensive restaurants and young rich people. It didn't impress me at all.

For me this is the highlight of Dussledorf --- a walk through the varied, beautiful and strange buildings of the Medienhafen. It's about a 20 minute walk from the City Center. Decent places to eat and drink too. I like the Gehry buildings, especially the one that looks like it is wrapped in tin foil. There is another one with... More

We walked around the old Hafen (made modern) for an hour or so on Sunday morning. Nice walk, but not much open. This is normal for a German Sunday though, so as expected. Very modern area with some art installations, but they have kept some of the old harbour charm such as the cranes. Still a working harbour for leisure... More

Its amazing to see the different architectonical styles, beginning with the Gery Buildings, and following by the Hyatt Hotel and the other original buildings you can see.

This use to be the old Rhine harbor but the silos and warehouses have since been replaced by modern architecture. However, some remnants of the docklands still remains, such as old rail tracks, bollards and cranes can still be seen along the river, reminding visitors of what it used to be. Architect enthusiasts would find this place particularly interesting as... More

Depending on how the light falls on the boats, buildings and grassy areas there's always something to see in the harbour. Come whenever you want. I can recommend the steps overlooking the office buildings.

This is the trendy renovated harbor area along the River Rhine. Enjoy the ultra modern buildings by Gehry. They reminded me of monotone Gaudi like buildings. Go to the top of the Stromstrasse for 360 degree views of the city. Have a latte and cake while your family photographer clicks away. Or go after 5 for cocktails and a splendid... More

For art lovers, this is an interest place to visit. The buildings in the area are quite interesting and it is close to the river. In addition the tower is close by. The mediahafen can easily be reached by bus number 725 and you can drop off at Stadtor! Restaurants are around the area so it is easy to grab... More

I had a river trip and saw this harbor from the boat. It was so beautiful and very impressive sight. Recommended to See. Enjoy!
