We went here on our first night in Germany to find some food. It was a very pleasant summer evening, and folks were everywhere. There are nice open air/tent restarants along the banks. It was a nice way to get started right. This runs right past a number of attractions and is near the old city area.

I love this place. The best place to stroll along the Rheine river. You will find a lot of bars, people drinking beers, sunbathing, roller-skating, or biking. Very lovely area and you can see Rheinturm at the end and Oberkassel at the other end, not to mention the beautiful sunset on the horizon. Highly recommended!

This place really is worthwhile visiting during the summer months, since its located directly on the banks of the Rhine river. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and miles of walkways along the Rhine if you like to stroll along and get to know the scenery. I recommend entering the Rheinufer area through the Altstadt (Old City), since this is... More

Easy to reach from downtown Düsseldorf. On the side of the town you can walk along the Rhein which features plenty of restaurants. On the other side across the bridge you can enjoy the green nature. Must see. Very relaxing. Love it.

Rather than the tried walk along and about the Altstadt, I prefer the wonderful fields North of the City up to Loerick and beyond to Meerbusch where one van appreciate a combination of town and rural settings,

Stopped in for a bier after the 45 minute Weiss Flotte. Fun crowd, good food and great prices. On a windy cold day (like on my visit in March) a nice warm reprieve as they have space heaters and the patio enclosed.

Very nice place especially in spring and summer, sitting outside in lots of pubs and enjoy the river Rhine, good food and classic Duesseldorf Alt beer

Have been to Dusseldorf before out of season when cafes and bars have not been open. Made such a difference to be able to have a walk down by the river and go for meal and drink and just watch the river traffic go by.
