A nice walk through old town, right on the Rhine. Be sure to check out the 13th century cathedral nearby and grab a bite to eat al fresco.

One of the highlights of a Düsseldorf visit is walking along the banks of the Rhine. Some areas are definitely worth it, particularly if you wish to watch the sunset or don´t mind crowds.

With good weather a spectacular walk to or from the old town. Have a drink at sunset at KIT bar. Mind the bicycles and skaters! Beautifull view on the Rhine river. On saturday a second hand book market.

No distance from the main shopping streets you come to the bank of the Rhine and have the opportunity to stroll along the river watching the world go by. On the day I was there there was a big book fair called the Dusseldorf Book Mile which stretched right along and gave me plenty of fascinating things to look at.... More

A nice place to take a stroll along the Rhine then relax and enjoy a meal and a drink.Visitors should be aware that not all of the restaurants take credit cards or eftpos cards strictly cash only. Most days during the summer season are very busy so be ready for a wait at some restaurants

This was a great place to sit down and have something to eat or drink. You have a great view over the Rhine, and it was a great atmosphere being with all the locals, watching football etc. Steps just down from here was great to people watch. a must visit when in the dorf!

There are lots of restaurants by the river side hidden from the street. There were also lots of people enjoying the sunny spring Saturday, and beer.

Nice walking path along the river. Plenty of cafés, restaurants to choose from. We also did the hour long cruise along the river. The prices are ok for such an area. We went during the weekend and the weather was lovely and it was very crowded.
