Nothing quite says Friday like the inimitable sound of 48 naked Germans in a Sauna slathering themselves with salt and honey whilst occasionally moaning as Jonas the Saunameister twirls his towel around! A high class and well staffed sauna, a good variety of sauna types and heats, careful with the hot ones they are not for a novice. You could... More

1. I'm American, and lived in Germany for nearly 4 years in the Würzburg area, but had never visited Cologne. Wow, what a mistake! Cologne is my new favorite German city (recent immigration troubles notwithstanding) 2. I stayed at the Hyatt, east side of the river. Best hotel ever. 3. I had no idea there was a spa/sauna nearby until... More

I am always apprehensive about going to Spa's etc, but my girlfriend really likes them so I gave it a shot. All of the rules etc made it off-putting, but the staff there were very friendly and informative from the beginning (in both German and English), so everything was made clear from the start. You get a bracelet when you... More

Nothing on the level of Shinseagae's SPALand in Busan but for Europe this is heaven, the atmosphere is pure relaxation, the staff are friendly, the changing facilities and pools also sparkle. Take your trunks if your shy or take nothing if you like.. relax and enjoy for an hour or two!

Going to the Claudius Therme is a unique experience. It is spacious, clean, excellent value for money, extremely well organised. I have never seen such a variety of hot and cold baths, and the sauna section is exceptional with different activities offered. There are also various rooms for resting each with its own atmosphere and design. The temperature is just... More

Got the bus out here, and the spa is close to the bus stop. There is a car park too. Spa consists of a number of pools, at different temperatures, and some jacuzzis. There is an outdoor section with a hit pool, and a spin bit where you can spin round every half an hour, which was great fun. There... More

I visited here with my sister when we were visiting Cologne for the Christmas Markets. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the pools and Jacuzzi's. For the pools and hot-tubs you are (thankfully) made to wear swimwear, however the unisex sauna's require you to be naked. This was something that I felt very uncomfortable about. So as a compromise we... More

I visited as a break from Christmas Markets by myself. I only stayed for 2 hours because my mum waited in the cafe for me so I don't want to be any longer but... I absolutely loved it. So many areas and experiences to try and explore. The outside clothed area was brilliant with warm jacuzzi, very fast whirlpool and... More

If you're in Cologne for the Christmas markets, and you're feeling a bit "Christmas market'ed out", then this is the perfect place for you! We spent 4 hours soaking in hot water, steam baths, saunas, relax areas and came out feeling utterly refreshed. The only thing was , no one really explained to us that you needed flip flops, a... Absolutely loved my afternoon here, we went here with hangovers and left fully refreshed, stunning views across cologne whilst having a fully body massage outside, great pools and saunas, great food in the restaurant, was highly amused that the group I was in didn't realise that some areas would be no swim wear allowed.
