While these cruises are good value for money at any time even greater savings can be made by over 60's. Simply ask for a "Senioren Preis" for 1/3 off the adult price. You may be asked for proof of age, but our photocopy of our passport photo page was readily accepted. (This price can also be found at several museums... More

We managed to get tickets for the last 2 hour advent cruise of the year, just before Christmas. It was a great experience and our 9 year old son loved it. There was even a brief encounter with St Nicholas. Our table was right at the front of the boat and we had wonderful views of the Rhine, whilst we... More

In truth, there really isn't that much to see on the one-hour cruise. However, if you want a break from the hustle and bustle, this can be very enjoyable. Staff did their best too.

We took the morning ferry during the winter break, and we had a good experience. The food was nice, drinks not included, and the boat is nice and clean. It wasn't cheap, as we paid 33 euros per person, but in the end or was worth it. However we missed having an explanation of the views.

We did a short 1 hour tour up the Rhine and down with K-D day cruise. A little confusing as the brochure from the tourist info seemed to suggest that you buy tickets from tourist info but in fact there is a ticket booth right down by the river. If you arrive a bit early you likely could snag a... More

We took the full day trip which was about 6 hrs going upstream, a 1 hr break and then a 4 hr return trip. It departs at 9 am and returns just after 8pm. You do not have to do the whole trip as it stops at many towns along the way in both directions. It is up to you... More

Went from Cologne to Bonn got off and had a couple of hours in Bonn then travelled back to Cologne. The boat was clean and pleasant, we managed to get a seat on the top deck (nice day) and the staff on board were friendly and polite. The views on that stretch are not spectacular (no castles etc.) but there... More

We took an early train from Cologne to Bingen and caught the boat downriver (based on other tripadvisor advice (thanks)). It was easy to get to the boat even from the main Hbf station in Bingen (after missing the local connection) with the train office giving us directions and a map. The cruise was confortable - you can buy items... More
